I had a coat like this over 10 years ago...when I was skinny. I always loved it. After gaining some weight, I had to part with it. I have been looking at this coat for about 4 months. Given the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure about ordering it. I walk my dog each morning, and I need a long, warm coat. I finally took the plunge, and the coat came on 1/3/24. It fits me perfectly, it's warm, I love that it's lined inside, and being a person with long arms...I finally have a coat that has "long" sleeves!!!! Most coats I have, the sleeves are always too short. I won't need to worry about it with this one. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this coat again! A few notes: I am 5'9 and approximately 230 lbs; I normally wear a 2X shirt, coat, and jacket. Knowing me, I would have ordered this coat in my normal size, a 2X, and it would have been huge on me! After looking at the reviews and size chart, I ordered this coat in a "Plus Large," and it fits me perfectly with room to spare (not too big, it fits perfectly). As most reviewers mentioned, it runs large. I ordered mine in charcoal gray (it's a solid medium gray fabric with no "heather hairs" like others have mentioned. This coat is "berber" so it's not silky, slinky soft like a fleece coat would be, but it's also NOT stiff, and scratchy...like some people have mentioned. I am writing this review for those who have been looking at this coat for a while and were leery about ordering it. Had I read a review like mine a few months ago, I would have ordered it well before I did. Don't hesitate to buy this coat...you just need to ensure the sizing is right! It does run large (by 2 sizes). I found the fabric, quality, and functionality to be 5 STARS!

Warm. Cozy. Long. Keeps the wind out. Runs quite large so exchanged for one size down which was still pretty big. Have had many compliments on this coat. Although I haven't had it very long, it appears to be of good quality and construction. I do wish the hood had a drawstring in it but even without a fastening, it stays up fairly well.

I read the reviews before I purchased and still decided to buy despite the overall 2.7 rating (I usually on buy 4/5star rated items and I’ve never bought a coat on Amazon). The coat is actually pretty nice for the price. I see what people were saying about the lining being noisy (it makes the same noise puffer coats make when the material rubs together) but it’s really not that bad, it sounds like most coats with a similar lining. Of course the quality could be better, but it’s not trash. (Let’s keep in mind that it’s a $50 coat, a decent chunk of money but not expensive). It’s not rough or scratchy, and once it’s on, the noise diminishes greatly. The actual coat material isn’t super soft, but unless you’re used to cashmere 24/7, it’s also not rough either. I believe it fits the price paid. The coat is fairly light given the size but it’s not thin. It’s pretty warm and cozy and there’s some fleece in the pockets that’ll help keep your hands warm. It’s very long and oversized. I’m 5’8, about 155lbs. I’m not plus sized, I wear Small or 4/6 in dresses, jeans size 5, waist 27. I have long limbs which is why I bought this plus coat thinking (correctly) I could finally find a coat that didn’t leave several inches of my arms exposed. Overall I like the coat I just wish the hood was bigger, it covers your head but is a bit on the small side considering how oversized the rest of it is. A bigger hood would also look more fashionable. And I might exchange the medium for a small if I’m not too lazy. Also it looks longer because of the downward angle of my phone but it stops a few inches above my ankles.

I got this coat because I wanted a lightweight, warm, long coat for winter. It is long. But the fabric is heavier than you would expect and the arms are just ridiculously long. I literally have to roll them up. For a company the specializes in plus size clothing, you would think they would realize that simply scaling clothes up doesn’t work. Also, the berber fabric is not soft at all. It is rough and scratchy. I ended up keeping the coat, but I am sure there are better options out there.

This was just about the cheapest coat I have ever seen! For $78- I didn't expect it to be the best, but it was so horrible, it's going back straight away! If the Dollar store sold coats, this would be one you could get there, The faux Berber fabric is thin and flimsy, and a kind of scratchy plastic or nylon, the lining is the kind of cheap vinyl you get in a cheap suitcase or handbag! The 'hood' is more like a flap, not long enough to actually cover your head! I'm so put off by this purchase it'll be a long time before I buy any type of clothing on line anymore as I'm out $94- so far, between the coat, taxes and shipping back and forth, I hope I'm able to recoup something for this, I REALLY feel like this place sells clothes on line because NOBODY would buy this stuff if they could see it first!

Looks like a heavy coat, but it really isn't. It blocks the wind well. I bought this coat for my mom, she loves it. It is longer coat which is a plus. A great buy for the money. She was very pleased with this one after buying a different one online and it was way too small. I have the same coat, we both have received lots of compliments. I bought the extra large and she had room to wear it with a sweater.. she is 5'3" so it comes to her ankle. I am 5'6" and it comes to mid shin on me.

I couldn’t be happier with this coat. It has a loose fit and longer length, which is what I was looking for. I’m 5’5” and it hit mid-calf. The lining, including in the hood, gives the coat a finished look. I wore it yesterday and found it to be super warm but not uncomfortable. I am buying a second one in the shorter length and more casual color. Love it!
