The boot is literally perfect. Yes, it will take some time and possibly a blister or three, but what good boot doesn't! Fits like a glove (finally a good, high platform, protective toe in 13-Wide), sturdy with a high stable platform which is critical when working in panels and other gear for long periods. Also, worth noting and agreeing with other buyers... the insert is MEH but there is plenty of top-space to get a thick, quality, high arch insert gel in there! Love this boot!

They are uncomfortable to break in. But they are great now. Warm when it's cold, but not crazy hot when it's nice out. They SEEM to be holding up ok but i haven't abused them enough to tell.

I wanted to like these boots so bad. They're awesome looking and the sole is pretty comfortable but they bite the inside of your ankle so hard constantly that they're unwearable. I really cannot express how disappointed I am and I was willing to give them a few days to see if it went away but there's no way I could walk around the house in these one more day, let alone job sites. The last pair of Wolverine boots I had lasted forever and were pretty comfortable so I had high hopes for these. If they could address the issue with these I would rebuy in an instant. It's like the boot is driving the first open eyelet into your ankle with every step. UPDATE- I am leaving the original review because it was the truth at the time and it's a big deal that shouldn't be the case. I ended up in a situation where I had to wear these another few days before returning and they eventually broke in. The break in is BRUTAL on these boots because of those eyelets digging in. I actually wrapped some socks around my ankles one day just for some padding which is ridiculous to have to do. Anyway they did finally get more comfortable for the most part and if you pay attention while tying them you'll be ok after the initial break in. I go easy on how tight I wrap that first eyelets and then tighter on the next two above it and it makes a difference. If you go too tight on that first set even broken in you'll feel them, although with the tongue broken in it's not the sharp stabbing pain it was originally and more of a dull poking annoyance. Still pretty ridiculous that you have to think at all about how you're lacing your boots in the morning. Otherwise now that they aren't trying to kill me they are pretty comfortable overall with some nice shock absorption and lighter than you'd think such a big sole would be (you'll be an inch taller in these). Still very much like the look of them and while there's some wear on them already it's all cosmetic (and my boots in general take a beating). I originally gave these 2 stars and I've added a star now. I was going to give 4 but no one should have to endure the pain these cause in the beginning or have to put this much thought into how they tied them every morning so I can't justify 4 even though the things I like about these I really like.

I've been a loyal customer of Wolverine for over a decade, but my recent experience with the Hellcat work boots has left me thoroughly disappointed. While the overall design of the boots is appealing, the craftsmanship has proven to be beyond poor. Given my positive history with Wolverine products, I purchased these boots in September with high expectations. However, as of December 10th, the soles of the Hellcat boots are already coming apart. This rapid deterioration is unacceptable, especially considering the relatively short timeframe since my purchase. It's disheartening to witness a decline in the quality of Wolverine products, mainly since I've relied on their boots for over ten years. This experience has forced me to reevaluate my perception of the company. The saying "you get what you pay for" certainly rings true in this instance, but it's disappointing to see a once-reliable brand fall short. I hope this feedback reaches the right ears at Wolverine, as it's crucial for them to be aware of the issues customers are facing with the Hellcat work boots. I caution others considering this line and hope the company takes steps to address the apparent decline in product quality. In conclusion, my long-standing loyalty to Wolverine has been shaken by the poor craftsmanship of the Hellcat work boots, and I urge the company to reassess and improve the durability of its products.
