    • Soles split! Better choices are from 30 years of wedge soles...
Wolverine, georgia boot (with white/yellow soles and northern tool wedge soles all eventually split at the ball....the soles are thermoplastic mixed with ? ...basically the harder sole. The best wedge soles I have owned are irish setters, dickies and die hards (the old die hards) or even the georgia boot black soles. When buying a wedge sole, make sure it is pliable/soft sole...or it WILL split. Cheers. OK....so bought another pair in 2023 and have worn them to death.....sorry....these are THE most comfortable boots ever (dr. martens, carolina boots, timberlands, georgia, keen, irish setter....etc...) have owned almost every boot manufacturer out there....these KILL my twice the price irish setters....which I like very much....but these wolverines breathe much better....are lighter and feel like a running shoe alswo giving me 1/2" height!...which i dont need but fyi.....only work boot that fas come close is the georgia farm boot but that was a hot boot....not waterproof or such....these are the best breathable boots out there unless you get jungle boots......period. ... show more

I looked over many boots before I bought this pair. Not wanting to pay double the price for a wider boot, that last, I thought I would try these. The construction seems to be above average. There are the same little annoying issues you get with any foreign made boot, like the finger tabs on the back are not big enough to actually get your finger into them, but the sewing seems top notch. These boots run very narrow. I bought X-wide, and they are more like size "D", or just wide in higher quality boots. The bottom has small groves that pack the dirt and mud tightly, so be sure to spray them off before going into the house. Overall, I am happy with them. Tough and worth the money. The lace hooks have broken off my wolverines in the past but overall as good as more expensive boots.

    • Don't buy, no inner liner to protect ankles from rubbing
Boots look good but they forgot to add an inner liner like most other comfortable boots. This causes your ankles to get rubbed to the point of blisters forming. Same price-no liner.

I ordered a pair of these for each my husband and father. The husband was used to wearing Red Wings, and the father Die Hards. Both of them say this shoe is like walking on pillows and way more comfy than the other shoes they are used to. I will be ordering more soon!
