This pair of shoes lasted me 4 years in industrial maintenance and outside homesteading acres of land. They werent taken care of and stayed covered in sugar, corn starch, or mud between weekly steamwater hosedowns. Ive worn the tread away to the black rubber underneath. Theyre like a 1/4 - 3/8" shorter. *After modification* theyre extremely comfortable. My feet never get wet in washdown environments. They didnt start to fail until close to 4 years. They fit true to the size youd buy, except they are narrow fit. Love the boa laces, i will never in my life wear a boot without them again. Very protective and breathable at the ankle, huge plus! I am buying multiple pairs of these. Why replace? My boa lace started to tear and ive started slipping in the last few months. This pair of shoes has two problems: 1: The material webbing that connects the tongue to the wall of the inside of the shoe for water resistance bundles up when tightened and digs into your ankle, bad. I literally had to modify the shoe by stitching pieces of leather in, but once i did the pain was immediately gone and they went from the worst ive ever had to the best, like a snap. 2: The toe needs protection. I added KGs boot guard, pretty cheap, after a couple months. These will quickly start to rip a hole in the toe leather otherwise. Buy or no buy? Dont buy. If you dont want to have to modify a brand new 180 dollar pair of shoes, move on. ... show more

Tired of lacing your boots? Wish you could have the convience of Velcro without being judged by your peers? Ever wonder how much more you could get done if you could get those 20 seconds of your life spent tying your laces back? GUESS NO FURTHER. With the BOA system, I can be laced up and ready to rock and roll within mere SECONDS. Remember those sick light up Velcro shoes that you used to have as a kid? These are basically those, but without the lights. It's that easy. They're incredibly easy to put on and remove and stay tight all day. Great for people that are required to climb or work at heights. They take a few weeks to break in, but they've held up better than some of my $300 pairs of boots. I've owned two pairs of these so far with zero issues in quality or wear. Wore the first pair daily for about 2.5 years and only replaced due to receiving funds to buy new work gear. ... show more

My previous work boots, while steel toed, ended up having a hole in the sole from stepping on the cut off trunk of a small tree. I also found that I had to stop and re-tie those boots frequently throughout the day. This inevitably happened at the most inconvenient times. I selected these boots because to the Boa tightening system. I have Boa snowboard boots and wondered if I could find Boa work boots. I love the Boa system. They are easy to get on and often, and they stay tight all day. The soles are much sturdier than my previous boots and the carbon toes are strong, yet light. And they boots are waterproof! I am surprised to have found such a great boot for such a reasonable price. The only problem I have experienced is that I am an Ohio State fan, and it’s a bit uncomfortable wearing something labeled “Wolverine.” ;0) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got them in 2021, added polish and have worn them every day since! They have protected me from countless injuries. They will last if you are willing to take care of them. I don’t think any boots last without weekly care.

    • Very narrow, messing up feet

Shoes are way too narrow. I work four 10 hour days so I stand all those 10 hours. After two weeks of wear I've developed a large callous on my big toe after wearing the boots. Likely due to friction on the toe because of how narrow it is. My pinky and big toe are starting to move inward due to how narrow the boot is. I don't normally purchase wide shoes but I should've for this. I don't have the money laying around to buy another pair though. Choose wide even if you think you won't need it because you will wish you did. ... show more
