Don’t turn it on while it’s outside of the water. When you change your water unplug heater. Make sure you put it in the water first and then plug it in. This thing has worked so much better than my other one and my fishes are so happy. It keeps my water at the proper temperature and doesn’t over heat at all.     • The mounts don't fit the controler.

Works fine but the sticky mounts that you would attach the part with the buttons on it, are bigger than the hole they are supposed to fit in. Not a HUGE problem but pretty annoying.

The temperature I set it at is a few degrees below, it keeps it warmer. I like that I don’t have to guess the temperature and to set it on the gauge outside of the tank. Stayed stuck to the back of the tank, and keeps the temperature perfect when checked with a different thermometer. I also really like the sleek black look, doesn't take away from the aquarium at all.

The temperture seems accurate, (+/- 1c). Size is ok, aound 10 inch long The only drawback is the temperture control which you need to go thru the whole setting if you want to lower 1 degree.
