Given this was a big investment, and I was very unsure whether it was insane or logical, I did my research. This brewer comes with a hefty price tag but it does not disappoint in terms of cup quality. I am a long time French press coffee drinker and wanted to make the switch to something a bit quicker and less work. This fills the bill. The built in scale was the clincher. It takes all of the guesswork out of the perfect ratio of coffee to water for the best possible cup of coffee. It is super fast and very quiet. Just a couple of minutes for a 4 cup brew. I love that you can adjust the brew strength. I like my coffee on the bold side so this works well for that. The carafe is very high quality and keeps coffee hot for a long time with no annoying burning from a hot plate. I love that there is no hot plate. It is very easy to use and offers an "idiot proof" cup of coffee of superior taste (and I use 8'oclock coffee). The only downside I have found is that you cannot fill the water reservoir for smaller brews, you can ONLY fill for the amount of cups per brew. Not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind. It is very easy to remove it and fill it however. Another BIG plus is the coffee basket pulls out instead of having to load from the top. HUGE plus on the design. Is it worth the money? I think it is if you want a perfect cup of coffee without having to figure out the ratio and you are someone who is short on time. Also, this is an "invest once" kind of purchase, no going through cheaper coffee makers every few years. This one should last a long time. In terms of time saved, it is much faster than my French press ritual and makes an equally good cup of coffee. I love it.

Had this for a couple of weeks. So far, the only 2 problems have been: 1) it didn't sit completely flat on the counter (and I tried different locations). I used double-stick tape to attach a piece of cardboard to one of the legs. This made it flat. 2) I had trouble trying to set the clock to 24 hour mode - it got into some dead end path. I had to back out and just use its default 12 hour AM/PM mode. That's okay. The pros: 1) It seems well made, 2) I like the detachable water container that is much better than my last coffee maker - trying to pour water into the top using the carafe was messy, 3) I like the accubrew mode - it's very precise in weighing the coffee. This makes the taste consistent. 4) The speed is pretty fast. 5) The stainless steel has a modern look and the red knobs are classic. 6) The wide mouth on the carafe makes it easy to clean. Although it's pricey, I think it is worth it. You are paying for the name, but it's also well-made.

After several years of using a French Press, I wanted a coffee maker that would make a great cup of coffee, produce a quantity of more than 2 mugs, keep the coffee hot after brewing, and be simple to use and easy to clean up. The Wolf drip coffee maker with the thermal carafe gives me that and more! A great feature is that when I fill the water reservoir and add the filter and coffee grounds to make the coffee, I don’t have to slide the unit out from under the upper cabinet! Most importantly, it makes an excellent cup of coffee! Yes, this is a relatively expensive coffee maker, but for me, it’s been well worth the price - especially for something I use every single day.

Buyer beware ! This company is not an authorized dealer of Wolf products. If you have an issue Wolf will not honor their warranties. (That’s a whole other issue which annoys me about them too) With that being said there return policy’s is Amazons which is 30 days. I bought this coffee maker and it lasted about 2 1/2 months. So for 500+ dollars it was a complete waste. They did offer to give me a partial return if I sent in the pot at my cost which was pointless. I will never buy a Wolf product horrible customer service, and if I buy another high end appliance, I will always be sure to purchase from an authorized dealer as to not run into this situation again.

Bought this coffee maker and loved it. Also purchased the toaster. Knock out style! Looked great in our Thermador equipped kitchen. Making perfect coffee is a breeze after learning the simple directions. Makes very hot coffee which stays warm for over an hour in the quality made carafe. We add two ice cubes per mug before drinking to cool it down. Five year warranty is a huge plus. Relatively low noise level while brewing. Cons: Would have appreciated a brew temperature control knob. Water reservoir feed valve started leaking after 10.5 months dripping water on the floor from faucet to machine. Called Wolf and they very quickly (2 days) sent us an entirely new reservoir!

Wonderful! Who would have thought a coffeemaker could really make a difference! Not until this one. Amazing! Have been using it for a few months, creates a great cup of coffee. Easiest removal of basket and water container ever. The main reason I invested in this machine was easy removal of basket and water. I grew weary of trying to find a coffeemaker that I did not have to move every day to make coffee. Opening from the top (I have my coffeemaker under a cabinet) was a pain, found this one and was shocked at the difference it made in the coffee. Won on 2 sides, great coffee and easy to fill.
