I bought this for myself (not a kid). I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, that being said... I love this item! It has a few different sound light combinations (brighter/flickering) and one that makes it light up for about 20 minutes. I bought Harry's stag as well and love it just as much! Both are fantastic and to note, will only work with their own wand. Hermione's won't turn on Harry's and vice versa (fun fact lol). Also, the lighting looks SO much better in person than in pictures! I'd say kids might get bored with this depending on how old they are and how much they love Harry Potter. As an adult I love them so much and recommend them! ... show more

This was such a big hit as a birthday gift. The kids could not wait to test it out. It appears to work easily and it isn’t too loud either. Just a gentle sound for casting the spell and the otter lights up and glows.

First I like the look of the ball on its stand, it def looks like a magic ball. However the slime inside the ball is dried our, hard, and almost impossible to play with. The magnet on the wand still adheres to it but it is minimal. You def can not pick it up with the wand.

Grandson has been in to making magic wands w sticks while camping. Thought I take a chance to buy him something different than usual & get this wand. At first I had a hard time to make it work so wasn't sure if he'd like it. It was a hit! He loved it. Happy w purchase!
