I've already recommended it to friends! I bought this blanket to sit around a campfire. I will be testing its warmth this week! It is soft and slick, as you would expect from this type of material. Tip to get back into the bag: reviewers were saying this blanket it not easy to get back into the handy bag it comes with. I tried the stuff and shove method. It got back in the back, but the perfectionistic side of me did not like that it was bigger than originally packaged. I just refolded it. I used the "fold a blanket into a pillow" method that I googled. That kept the blanket together to get it back in the bag in a more compact way than stuffing and shoving. I had been looking at Rumpl and Puffle blankets for years, but wouldn't pay that price for them. After reading many reviews about many of the dupes out there - I landed on this one and IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Super lightweight, yet super warm! I have not tried it in 40 degrees, but at mid 50's, it was actually a too hot and I kicked my legs out a good portion of the night, so I'd say 40's is a reasonable temp to say this would warm you in. Super easy care - I washed it on delicate and hung it on the line to dry - it dried in under an hour. Perfect size for one - I'm 5'3 and have enough room to fold my feet into the bottom if I want, and plenty of room on the top and both sides of myself. Really light weight when packed - will clip to my pack with hardly no additional weight, comes with its own compression sack for transport and storage. Snaps to make itself into a poncho and holds perfectly. Will definitely be ordering another for my home as well - I got the teal color and it is such a wonderful shade in person. ... show more

I bought both colors of the Cozy Traveler blanket, and they have not disappointed! They served as excellent campfire side blankets on cool camping trips, and have remained delightfully warm and cozy after washing. Given that the outside (appears to be) durable and lightweight ripstop nylon, the outside is going to be quite smooth and slippery, like the outside of a sleeping bag. This isn't a con to me, and adds to the water resistance and ease that you can clean them. The rolltop pack that they come in is also greatly appreciated, allowing them to pack down quite tightly, and remaining absurdly durable while feeling absolutely paper-thin. and all this comes at about half the price of rumpl! 10/10, would absolutely recommend. ... show more

This is my third purchase of this blanket. Bought it for my dad for Christmas I have had mine for a couple of years and use it nightly on my bed instead of blankets/comforters. So many things I Iove about this blanket- it is very light, it comes with a storage bag, it instantly warms you up and keeps you warm, it glides across your body, it doesn't get all bunched up and stuck under you when you toss and turn in your sleep, it folds into a small block, and the best feature for me are the snaps so I can wear it as a cape when I need to take my dog out at 2am to pee! ... show more

Bought for a camping trip. Use mostly for soccer games and other sports. I like the snaps, and am careful not to pull them too hard. They feel like they are about to rip out every time, but haven't yet. Would actually prefer cheaper snaps. I like that I can sit a kid on my lap and wrap him up too. Always warm, never too warm. Have used it with their hammock from 20 degree weather up to mid-70s and been conformable. I like it so much I tried using it on my bed and couch at home, but it slides onto the floor too easily. Only downside is that even in the bag it is quite large for camping gear. I usually tight roll it, but it fits in the bag even if you stuff it. ... show more

I tested the snaps for the first time just snapping them then pulling them apart and the material under thr snap came apart. This is a warm quilt. Light weight and compactable. I got it for hammock camping. It is just big enough for me and I am 5"11. Overall I like it I just hope this was a defect. I am exchanging it for another one that hopefully holds up. This was my first use I doors at a friend's and they forgot to open our vents so the room sat at 50 degrees. I was warm and comfy. I wanted to test it out before going out in the mountains. Hoping the exchange goes well and the next one is better. I have heard alot of good reviews on this brand and hope it works out. ... show more

Overall, this is a pretty decent blanket. One side is soft, the other is plastic-y to make it sand proof. It feels pretty durable, and unless you were to straight up abuse it, I feel like it will withstand years of being set down and put away. One feature I find neat is that it has a pouch on it to store things. I could see that being a handy feature so that the wind doesn't carry off your paper products like tissues or napkins. I looked at the dimensions and thought to myself that it wasn't going to be as big as it was, but it's a pretty large blanket that would easily hold two people like me who are heavy set, and then a few personal items along with a cooler or basket. I'm a sucker for die cut stickers, and Wise Owl managed to include one on the pouch the blanket goes in, so I'll definitely put that somewhere. The last thing I want to mention is that I wish there was a diagram for how to roll up and fold up the blanket, because it took me 4 or 5 attempts and it still ended up sloppy. Overall, I'd definitely buy one again if the need arose, but I feel like I'll get at least a decade of regular use out of this one. ... show more
