This radio has 4 speaker output channels. Make sure each speaker’s positive and negative wires match the stereo’s outputs. You can also test the unit by connecting home speakers directly to the speaker wire terminals. 5. Question: Dash cam stops working after exiting "Front View" mode? Answer: It's a wiring issue. Please verify these critical connections: dash cam to F-CAM port, black wire to ground (GND), red wire to ACC (+12V ignition), and yellow wire to battery positive (+12V constant). Proper connection of all wires is essential for operation. 6. Question: Settings (e.g., radio presets) are not retained? Answer: To prevent memory loss, ensure the red (ACC) and yellow (B+) wires are correctly connected. Incorrect wiring will erase all settings when power is cut. Note: This is a 12V unit and is not compatible with 24V systems. tldr; This thing is really solid for the price! If you're looking for good value that doesn't break the bank, grab it. You'll love it. Pros: Tons of features, wireless android auto and carplay work great, sharp display, great sound, easy to hookup, clear directions, responsive support so far. Cons: No real cons, some areas that could be improved as noted below. Would love to see: Ability to load a custom boot logo or background from a usb stick without going through support, Ability to switch wireless devices from the head unit, USB port on the back of the unit. The long review and a little background... I just finished helping my stepson get his first car, an extremely clean,low mileage 2007 Pontiac G6 GXP hardtop convertible. We paid $800 because it's older and the transmission was blown. Awesome little first car for him and great experience together as we rebuilt the transmission and went through everything else it needed. Soon he had a pretty sick looking car to drive to school... He didn't even complain about the fact that the stock radio sounded like someone trying to sing through a tin can and that the only way he could stream to it was by using a radio adapter. I'm a big fan of rewarding hard work and grateful attitudes, but I'm also a father with 5 kids that I'm constantly helping fix their cars, bicycles etc so while I wanted to surprise him with a nice new stereo, I was on a tight budget. After a LOT of research I settled on this radio, crossed my fingers, and ordered it for him. I've installed plenty of radios, expensive Pioneer ones, and cheapo space fillers so I'm very familiar with how much quality and value can vary. I received the stereo in 2 days flat. It was well packed, in a nice box and came with what were easily the best instructions of any inexpensive radio I've ever installed. I could actually read the directions without laughing! Even better, they were clear, clean, and even gave helpful tips for folks that aren't so familiar with these systems. It was pretty simple to install the radio. I opted to use a Metra universal steering control adapter and schosche harness and canbus adapter. We did a quick test to insure it powered on (always do this first) then we soldered the harnesses all together, plugged it in, and powered it up. WOW!!!! This thing kicks! The screen is sharp, bright and easily readable. It is glossy, and while I would prefer a matte finish, there is really no glare so it's just a matter of preference. The brightness can be controlled by the illumination wire, and the brightness level can be adjusted independently for headlights on or off. This works great and keeps the screen at perfect levels. No problems day or night. The audio was really good at first, but lacked a little punch. Looking in the settings revealed a loudness option and adjusting this took the sound from good to absolutely awesome. I will state that this is running through a stock Monsoon amp, and that will make a difference, but regardless, the sound is incredible. Crisp, clean, great punch, and the equalizer actually works well! So many of these cheap radios have equalizers that do, well, nothing. This one actually works and very well! Interfacing with Apple Carplay over wireless was easy and smooth as was Android Auto. The only thing that was a bummer is that there does not appear to be any button to disconnect the existing android/apple connection and switch to another one. The radio just reconnects to whatever was last connected and you have to disconnect from your cellphone to switch to a different phone. Small problem, but would love to see a way to switch to known connections. The backup camera is very sharp and has a great picture! I would recommend that when you install you add a capacitor in parallel to the power source if you're hooking up to the backup wires. If you're hooking up to a constant power source you should be fine. Responsiveness is on point. There is the tiniest bit of input lag but it is hardly noticeable and I am told that an update will address this. I'm waiting on the vendor for that. Background and boot logo are customizable, but loading a custom boot logo requires going through the vendor. It would be great to be able to load a background or boot logo through the menu via USB. This seems (as a programmer/developer) to be a very simple thing to integrate. Speaking of USB it would be great to have a USB port on the back so a cable could be added for an external drive etc. Overall I am extremely impressed with this unit and my stepson is beyond thrilled! I highly recommend this specific head unit if you are looking for an inexpensive but solid performer. I will update this if anything fails. ... show more

I got this stereo on a gamble and it's paid off. I don't normally write reviews, in fact less than 10 over the past decade, but this one deserves it. For starters, the unit is exactly as described. The quality feels better than expected, with a bright/hi resolution display. If I had one suggestion to the manufacturer, it would be to add a metal sleeve that most stereos come with for a universal install... Other than that, it's great. I wanted an affordable option to replace a stereo from 2004 in my Fleetwood RV. Wanting wireless android auto, like the one I have on my $500 Kenwood in my Jeep, but not wanting to spend the money on my RV, I opted for this unit. The unit installs easy and has arguably the easiest to follow install manual I've seen with it being a color step by step, a nice touch for sure! The sound instantly surprised me when I first turned it on.... It's great! Then I connected Android auto and found it to operate fast and smooth, again, better than expected at this price point. Menus are easy to navigate and intuitive. After playing with my stereo for a bit, I decided to contact the company via Facebook messenger for the free software update they offer with a custom startup screen and background I wanted to use. I had a response within 5 minutes with the reply my update would be ready within 10 hours. I received the email earlier than expected, completed the super easy update and they nailed it.... More than I expected.... a full custom stereo that has an appearance and feel of something in a much higher price range. The ONLY other suggestion I may have at this time, would be the ability to use the USB to change/update the background at will without bothering them for an update. I'm super pleased with the outcome, and doubt I'll ever change it, but thought it would be worth mentioning if they read this. This was a killer purchase at this price point, and so long as it holds up, I'll be back for my next double din purchase. ... show more

    • Great Value Car Stereo Upgrade! The Perfect Weekend Project!

I got the JOY-W021 model with a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and it works really well. I had a small hiccup during setup. It does require a bit of splicing wires but the manual covered most of the hiccups I encountered (like tapping into the ignition switch instead of... other things so that it turns off with the vehicle). I do recommend ordering the can-bus and vehicle specific stereo bracket for your vehicle as the manual states so you're not guessing with the wires and it won't take you a week to install like it did for me. The screen is pretty responsive but it runs it's own custom firmware (not Android). It's pretty smooth running wireless CarPlay. I was a bit disappointed I couldn't drag and drop a custom boot logo with their custom firmware (even after searching online and making it to the .jpg encoding specified) but their customer service was super helpful and quick to respond and help and they hooked me up with the logo I wanted. Really impressed with how they handled it, 5 stars on the customer service alone! The only gripe I have about using it is that it's sometimes challenging to hit some stuff on the left (driver's) side of the screen while driving because it's a bit recessed by maybe 0.5in (1.27cm), but it's really minor. Overall, I like it. It's a great value for it's price, even factoring in the can bus and bracket. There needs to be more stereos with knobs. There's something about the tactile feel that's satisfying over a fully touch screen. ... show more
