Bought two sets of these for doing monthly meal preparation cooking marathons for my son, daughter and me. The sizes are great for containing 1 meal for a person who eats normal portion sizes and I like the various size options for different type meals and combinations. They freeze well and come out of the microwave just right; have tried reheating both frozen and refrigerated. Microwaved frozen for about 4 minutes, similar to a store bought frozen dinner, but may need adjustment to get just right. Purchased this brand based on reviews of meal preparation containers. I don't think you would want to freeze the meals for more than 3-4 weeks, but this is certainly adequate for our planning on a once a month preparation day.

I prepare meals in advance, and these containers are ideal for portioning. I avoid heating food directly in them as I've found they degrade faster. I transfer the food to a regular plate for reheating. The lids are durable and don't break easily; while not leakproof, they handle thick sauces well. I love the colors, but the long shape means it won't fit in a regular food bag. I have to stand it upright, which is a problem if there's any liquid inside.
