Fantastic for my needs-- I don't usually do reviews, but this deserves it. Whether you're like me and need another 500 battles for that shiny charm, or also like me and need it to run back and forth in the game for hours as you have a wrist injury, this controller works great! And at a great price; what can I say? I didn't feel like dropping $70 on an 8BitDo. I've been testing it and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised (I tried like 4 controllers, including the SwitchUp which was too complicated and buggy). Most Macro Controllers I've found don't map the Joysticks, but this will. You can also re-map the X/Y/A/B buttons if you wanted! Also, get this; the Macro paddles WORK with the Turbo button, so that means you can be completely hands-free if you wanted! Fully automated. You can slow down or speed up the Turbo, the strength of the vibrations, and change or turn off the RGB lights too. It makes shiny hunting easy for this game-- of course, the same for finishing up the battling. The included booklet is easy to follow as well so you don't need 10 YouTube tutorials. The fact it can also communicate with iPhone, Android and the PC gives me something I can also utilize for whatever in the future.

OMG OKAY It took few hours to find why the loop wasn’t working for the macro but I’m writing this review so others don’t struggle if they have same issue. Also if you had the lag with macro try this it might fix!!! 1. Download the app Keylinker from AppStore on your phone. 2. Connect your controller (it should show on the list of Bluetooth connection just pick something that says Keylinkerblahblah - that’ll be the controller) 2. Click the three dots on top right - Update your controller if your version is old (it’ll make you restart the app, then just reconnect the controller) 3. To set the macro click on the gear icon first (it might be half cropped - it’s on top right below the three dots) after you connected the controller and then click the three dots on top left, then select “advanced”. Macro option doesn’t show when you’re in simplified mode. (You can connect both switch and phone at the same time btw.) 4. After you switch to advanced mode now you can record the macros, slide the menu option until you see macro ML - now press the red button on the bottom and start recording your buttons on the controller directly. The phone will automatically record your timings!!!! So much better. This fixed my loop issue, I couldn’t make it loop but when I tried it this way, it worked. The manual that the controller came with didn’t show this 🤦🏻♀️ I found a guide online that talked about the app so I decided to try it and it worked!! The picture are showing the app (the gear portion for some reason is cropped but I can still press it) I’m sorry if the steps are confusing but hope it helps!!!

Bought this for Pokemon Legends ZA and couldn't be happier. I just unboxed it today and have been using it to shiny hunt and it works perfectly. I've never used a macro controller before, and didn't really feel like committing to the 8BitDuo controller just for this one game. (I am sure I will use it with others as well, but still.) Out of the box, the instructions were very clear on how to use the macro functions and the turbo. I got it working in less than 10 minutes. It worked well with the spam teleport method and bench method. I've been experimenting with the pacing and movement, which I haven't gotten down completely, but that is user error rather than the controller. I have to work on my timing. My only possible complaint with this controller may be that the joysticks are a bit looser than my normal Switch controller. I may fear drifting later on, but I would need to see how it holds up in the long run. But for now, 5 stars. I am pretty pleased with this controller.

I originally wrote a great review but the controller stopped holding a charge in the first few hours of use, no matter how long I charged it. I opted to return the controller in exchange for a new one to give it a second chance but the new one not only would not even take a minimal charge, but it would not connect at all. I did everything I could to troubleshoot but got nothing but a bunch of flashing lights that would suddenly go dark. Not worth the effort so I will not use this brand again. Disappointed!

for this price great controller and after heavy use for many days no joystick drift developed surprisingly doesnt weigh much and honestly doesn't feel like anything less than normal xbox or playstation controller vibrates a bit late most probably input lag connects to everything but cant use with macs without cable and great quality for the price.

This does NOT work for Switch 2 wake up. Also, the RGB resets to default EVERY time you turn the controller off. Otherwise decent controller and the macro recording is nice.
