I have purchased controllers for my daughters Nintendo switch before, and they weren’t name brand. The controllers I bought ended up being horrible. They didn’t work very well, they didn’t vibrate or do any of that. I decided I’m never going to buy a no name remote. I was only going to buy remotes that were made specifically by Nintendo. However, my daughter’s birthday was coming up and she wanted a new controller. She wanted one that was styled like this one. I was so nervous because it is not made by Nintendo switch. I didn’t think it would be a good idea. I read all the other comments and it seemed like people really enjoyed this remote. I looked at the price of the actual Nintendo switch controller which is like $70. I saw that this one was much more affordable and actually had a much cooler look to it. The original remote is only red and blue. This remote is actually really cool looking. Anyways, when my daughter opened it for her birthday, she was really excited. She said it was extremely easy to set up, it vibrates and lights up. I’m really glad I purchased this. It’s great quality, it works perfect, and now it’s the remote the family fights over!

When I pulled this out of the box I was disappointed because it does not look like it lights up and when I plugged it into charge it didn't light up either but as soon as I connected it to the Nintendo switch it lights up and boy does it light up! it's freaking awesome! there's all kinds of light settings and the lightning bolts look awesome I've played Zelda with it and it's a good responsive controller a little bit heavier than some so you can tell it's got a good battery

Everyone digs the colors. They do look cool. Battery seems to last awhile. Bought two and while both work, one seems to have just enough of a signal delay to be annoying. May have to do with range. If so the range isn’t great since I’m only sitting ~10ft away from the Switch console. Noticed if I cross my legs and hold the controller in my lap with my leg blocking line of sight between the switch and the controller there seems to be some signal loss. If I raise the controller up a little to a clear line of sight it works better. Overall good bang for the buck. Easier to use than the tiny Switch paddles and cheaper than the Nintendo branded pro controllers. Will not fit my aftermarket charging dock which I assume is molded to specifically fit Nintendo branded Pro controllers. Enough of a difference to keep it from reaching the charging port so I have to use a cable.

The controller arrived as expected and the package and controller was in great shape when it arrived. I was able to use it right out the box. I was expecting to have to charge it up before my first use but to my surprise it came partially charged. The controller fits well in my hands and is actually very similar shaped and design as the original "Switch Pro Controller" with a few added buttons to adjust color and lighting patterns. I am loving the different color patterns and colors available to use and light up as you play. You can have one light up at a time or have the controller light up with all the colors at once. You can select one color and have it pulsate on and off to give the effect of lightening or you can set it up so that it slowly cycles thru each color on its own. The price of this controller I am having a good time with it and the several lighting features it comes with. One of the issues I found is that the battery life isn't quite as comparable to the "Switch Pro Controller". It doesn't take long to charge it but it you're seriously gaming long hours you'll find yourself having to charge it in between games. I would suggest charging before bed or the day before. You'll find yourself having to take a break and possibly switch to a different controller or sitting close enough to continue playing with it tethered to the consoles dock while charging. The only other issue I found was that it doesn't take long for the controller to disconnect if left sitting. If you run to the bathroom or to the kitchen to grab something to eat, you'll have to reconnect it before jumping back into the game. Overall this is a good investment for your Nintendo Switch for the price that is offered.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE- I want to keep my initial review on here in case anyone has the same problem- it’s fixable!! My controller was not connecting about a month and a half after buying. I tried almost everything, but there’s a button on the back, in the middle and holding it connected it. It’s an awesome controller and I’ve had no real issues- DO buy this controller! Disregard: It worked great at first, I loved it. Then it just stops working. I used it a couple days ago, it was charged, and now it won’t connect and keeps turning off. I tried charging it for a while too, I tried resetting it, plus more. It was made to break it seems by other reviews.

I love the simplicity of the Switch, but the joy cons can be a little annoying at times. I’m old school when it comes to gaming. Just give me a regular controller! This controller is very nice. Buttons are easily accessible, has cool LED functions. Battery life is solid. Had it for a few weeks now and I’ve only charged it once. Great value for a solid controller!
