I purchased this Hanpusen RMT-P1BTA remote to use with my new Sony A7CII (latest firmware loaded). Only took about 2-3 minutes to pull the remote out of the box and have it paired and working with the A7CII. I was just hoping the shutter release would at least work and I'd be happy. It is much more. It's really an extension of the A7CII's key controls (for me anyway) which is fantastic. Shutter button on remote has a 2-step detent, and works exactly the same as the camera's 2-step shutter button. With A7CII in manual focus mode, the remote's focus funtion works perfectly with very small steps for fine focusing. The Remote's AF-on and C1 buttons are identical to the buttons named the same on the A7CII, so what ever functions you have programmed into those two buttons on your camera are available on the remote control. The remote is bluetooth, so it does not need line of site to function. Overall it's just fantastic, so far. Now it just needs to keep working.... ... show more

I got this remote for when I am using my A7iii on a monopod at concerts. The remote works fantastic. My only complaint with this product is it gets stuck holding the shutter down sometimes. I'd have the camera in burst mode and it'd just keep firing away even after I let go of the shutter release. Not sure if this was an issue with the cancera or the remote but it was easily solved with a half press of the shutter button to "focus". ... show more
