  • Excellent Budget Wireless Mics
The build quality is solid. The transmission is clear. The auto scan feature is unheard of excellence. The mics are a little long and heavy but the build is good as mentioned. I expected the buttons to be cheap plastic but they are a rubberized material and feel great. The IR channel setting was flawless. The 2 AA batteries insertion is well made. I would recommend not using rechargeables as they do seem to drain faster. I set these up at my church to test them and had zero cut outs, no interference, no hissing noise. The microphone sounded clear and accurate. It did seem to have just a subtle amount of compression with loud vocals but it wasn't anything to write home about. I would choose these over a set of Shure wireless mics any day given the cost to amount ratio... quite impressive honestly! ... show more

  • Blown Away by the value and build quality
Bought these as backups to my aging, more expensive mics. These do not have all the same bells and whistles but they have EVERYTHING you need for even a pro set up. They sound great and the ability to scan for best frequencies is amazing at this price point. Solidly built microphones feel weighty in the hand. Love the on off button. Press and hold to turn on, press and hold to turn off. Love that this has mute function. Quick press power button to mute/unmute. Batteries last a long time (if you remember to turn mics off when finished.) You ucannot find a better mic at this price. If you are apprehensive (like I was when buying these), don't be. These are the real deal. In fact, I put my other mics on the shelf and have been using these exclusively. ... show more

  • Good Quality Sound and Reception
I have a band and I also use for karaoke events. I had a Phenyx 5000 system that I liked, but when I accidentally threw the antennas out, I decided to upgrade to the 7000 and I am very happy that I did. The components are more substantial than the 5000 and the reception of the system is much better. Also sound quality is definitely better than my old 5000 system. The 5000 was very good, but the upgrade is well worth the money. ... show more

  • Good Value, this will be a good option for most
Let me preface this by saying I am a professional karaoke host and also I already own the 5000 series of the phenyx wireless systems. For home use and for musicians these can be a great choice. Feels like they are built solid. Battery use is good, range and reception so far is excellent. I have these in a closed rack box with no line of sight and they worked flawlessly for 50feet out which is as far as I used them. Sound quality is good, I noticed a little bit of tininess but overall very good sound at this price point. These are very similar to the 5000 series with the following exceptions, the 5000 series has fixed frequencies the 7000 has auto scan which can steer around interference issues if encountered (one of the reasons I spent more for this set). Now for the gripes. The other difference between these sets is the display on the microphones themselves and the on/0ff button. The mics from both sets look really similar and I would venture to say they have the same heads in them, but for some reason, imagined or perceived the 7000 sounded a slight bit tinny in some instances whereas the 5000 sounded flawless imo. The main nag on this setup is the display and on/off switch, for karaoke events it is awful. This is why... I'm assuming the mic display goes dark to save power but this is bad news because some guests will get the mic and think that it is off and they have to switch it on. If they hit the switch they have muted the mic and I have to restart their song and fix it for them. This happened a half dozen times the first night I used them. It is also confusing should you mute them, because a single tap mutes and un mutes and a long hold turns off. So someone not familiar is not going to understand that. And it is a button, where an up/down type switch is usually up is on and down is off. Easy peasy. The 5000 series has the display on the whole time and my battery life is fine and the switch on the 5000 series in a really inconspicuous hard to find place, which is excellent because my patrons won't fool with it. My other gripe is this, and this applies to more than just phenyx. If you are going to build a rack mountable unit for transport (appreciated, thank you) then you should mount the antenna on the front of the unit. Unless you use an extremely thin profile rack (effects style rack) the antenna will be trapped midway back in your rack box. This requires either custom mounting the unit midway back so the antenna can hang out the back of the box or just burying it and hoping for optimal reception or not mounting it at all. I have made it work with ingenuity but, boy it sure would be nice to take it out of the box and mount it and be good to go. Even if you have a shallow effects style rack box you will need to leave the back open which can be unsightly with wires and mayhem. I have one zipper style rack bag that I can partially zip up to hide but if it was on the front I could keep the back closed and mount it on any depth rack case. The antenna are removable should it conflict with the front cover of your case you can take them off to transport. For me, I think next time I will get another 5000 series. I would doubt I would get interference in any situation that would run across all 4 mic channels though you would be vulnerable for that happening or creating unwanted interference during a given performance. Except for the auto scan feature I found the 5000 series to be better at $100 less. ... show more

  • Very good mics for small bands
Bought this mic system for my 4 piece band. The mics sounded good and performed well! Sound checked all the mics before the gig, everything sounded great! These mics sound very close to Shure 58’s… Into the second song the lead singers mic started to crackle… I handed him another mic to finish the set. After the set I searched for a new channel and paired the mic. The mic worked great the rest of the gig! My take away!! Well worth the price, but you must have a backup mic ready to go in case it drops frequency. ... show more

  • Great product
We bought them for church and definitely, it was the best decision. Works with rechargeable batteries and they last, the muting option is lifesaving and the sound quality is amazing.

  • So Worth It!
Bought this set to use at a twice-a-month Open Stage Blues Jam. They worked great! Good sound quality and the alkaline AA's lasted for 2 jams (about 8 hrs of run time) with some capacity left. Would recommend!

  • Very pleased!
Great purchase. I compared them with the Shure SM58 and they stood up to the test. The only call out I would mention is that you have to be pretty much eating the mic to get a good level however you can walk in front of a monitor speaker with them and get no roar. The trade-off is well worth it!
