This worked the first time, right out of the box. The microphones are small and very light which makes them perfect for clipping on your lapel, shirt pocket etc. The noise reduction works fairly well. In testing, I sat approximately 8 to 10 feet from the tv, with the tv volume at an average, comfortable listening level. With noise reduction on, it barely picked up the tv which allowed it to pick up my voice clearly. When I switched off the noise reduction, it picked up quite a bit more of the tv. When recording my voice, it was plenty loud enough and clear. Keep in mind, this is not a professional recording device so the voice recording won’t be comparable to say, podcast quality. I would say the quality is similar to the built in phone mic, with the added convenience of noise reduction and not having to hold the phone up to your mouth. I have an iPhone 15 pro max which is what I used for testing, so I had to use the sub-c for connecting the receiver which worked perfectly. This is extremely easy to use, and for the money, a definite no brainer.

Just got this. Setup for Android was: * Open box * Connect Lightning/USB-C adapter * Plug base unit into phone * Clip a mic to collar Good to go! Sound quality seems good or better. I haven't investigated the quality in detail but I suspect it can be EQed to whatever is desirable for the purposes of VO or interview etc. I don't know about wind but I'm sure I could get a "dead cat" if necessary. I've only owned this for a few days so I have no idea whether it will die tomorrow or be forever reliable. But it is an incredible gadget for all of $30.

This is a great buy. I have a podcast and these little mics have improved the sound tremendously. Easy to work with and connect. Super simple and great quality. If you don't want to spend a ton of money on for equipment for vlogging and etc., I highly recommend this product.

Device started out easy. Set up and basic use. During the third use, less than 40 minutes use time up to this point, the pairing was lost. Unable to repair. Unable to turn off the receiver unit. Unable to clear the pairing as there is no hole for the reset on the mics per the instructions. Skeptical to recommend this item as I might just have a lemon unit.

The sound quality is horrible and very robotic with the built in noise suppression and insanely loud crackling when it’s not on, but most noise can be fixed using audio editing software… most as in 80-85%. It’s what you would expect from a cheap mic. My wife and I do a podcast and the audio with the built in noise suppression was mostly unusable. We turned off the noise suppression in the studio and it took a lot of editing to get the crackling out, but it sounded decent, but not something we’ll use again.
