The image is clear, but with a sorrunding rainbow of collors, which is not a problem to see details on coin. Actualy the micro powerfull enaugh to see all details. However, could not make the wifi mode work. If you start the program and then you move it to another screen, it disconect from the microscope. Some times it disconetc and re-connect to the coputer by it self even after making sure the cables where tighten up. But, ones is conected it'll work just fine and acurate. About the image, it shows like 70% of the entire image and you have to move the coin to be able to see parts of the coin at a time.

Pros: Price point, portability, Wifi and camera integration and photo capture as advertised (galaxy A50) Cons: Stated magnification doesn't seem correct. More difficult to use than standard microscope. I use it primarily for occasional use identifying insect garden pests on leaves and with some patience it serves that role adequately. If you can barely see it with naked eye it will help a lot. it is quite a bit more difficult to use than standard microscope because (a) there is a lag between the image on the phone and response to specimen movement or focus, (b) it lacks a moving vertical platform and fine adjustment knob that makes focus easy on standard scope. I haven't used PC mode since Linux not supported. See pic of green aphid. That might give you a sense for the magnification. The blue line is notebook paper.

The scope itself is surprisingly good. Image is bright and sharp. The stand however, is not great for higher zooms. At higher magnifications, the scope needs to be just shy of touching the base. The flex arm does not want to stay that low, and releasing it after focusing causes it to move, and no longer be in focus. These might not be as bad at lower magnifications. More importantly though, the second time I went to put the scope in the clip, it just snapped. Spring for one of the models with a solid stand with geared adjustment. Edit: Adding a star because seller came through to resolve the stand issue for me, unprompted.

This is a great product - better than expected. The WiFi is easy to use and links seamlessly using their proprietary app. I have not used this on a PC connection. The scope itself is easy to handle and one you get the hang of one handed operation while the other hand manuevers your subject, pictures are a breeze. You can snap pics using the app or the power button on the scope itself. This takes some practice as pushing the button can introduce some jiggle in the picture. Once you get it, your images are very clear and as close as you need it to be with a portable microscope. It charges with Micro USB from the back with an included cable. It also came with a nice stand, but I don't use it as more than a safe place to hold it. Seems like it would work nice enough for examination. Picture quality is good, and is largely dependent on your ability to get the right focal distance for the subject. The better you get at that, they better your pictures are -- just like a camera. The app is very simple and straightforward with two functions record video /take picture and View videos / pictures aside from connecting to the camera itself. It's not more than it needs to be and I'm ok with that. Overall, happily surprised with the device and the app functionality. Durability has yet to be seen, but so far I'm quite pleased.

Device worked in PC mode when connected to my Windows 10 laptop - software downloaded from provided address, installed quickly, and worked. However, could not download software for wireless use with my MotoG Android phone - Google Play Store said app would not work with my device and would not download. Trying to download from the QR code intended for Chinese purchasers caused the phone to display a security warning and refusal to download. So, one of the key features I was looking for (the ability to use my phone wirelessly for display) isn't functional. Disappointed...beware.
