You can't unsee the things this little magnifier will show you. I zoomed in on coins, my hands, my fingernails, my facial hair, my desk. You think something is clean until you put this on it and focus, just to see little films of things or little microscopic crap you'd never even think was there. Kind of scary, but I am very happy with this purchase. It has worked wonders for my soldering projects where I need to make sure I'm getting exactly what I need to get. Very easy to use. I have not got to try to SD card functionality yet but I've hooked it up as a camera to my PC and it is just amazing to be able to record what I'm doing so easily and without having to find a way to mount my phone but not have it in the way, but still be close enough to see the action while I'm soldering or desoldering. Great product. Buy it if you need it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I've just received this product yesterday and have had a minimum amount of time to experiment with it, but my initial impression is, "wow!" This is an incredible amount of functionality for $36.00. It's a optical microscope with digital output on a 4" screen. With the insertion of an SSD card, you can also save images and video that appear on your screen. It's sold as a "coin" magnifier, but even at the minimum magnification, you cannot fit the entire single digit of the year of a coin in the screen, so powerful is the magnification. The magnification starts at "1.2X" (whatever that actually means) and increases to "4.0X," again, without any real reference to actual magnification terms such as "30X." "1.2X" is far more than 1.2 times the naked image. So, if you want to see the veins in a fly's wings, this is perfect. For a coin, not so much. BTW, I ordered some glass slides for practical use of this device. You need to keep your subject in a small plane because of the limited focal range in this and any microscope. You want to keep your subject flat, as between two glass slides. I also recommend the black option to reduce reflective glare. My suggestions to the manufacturer for improvement: 1) an option for backlight, rather than simply reflected light. For translucent or transparent subjects, this would be an improvement. 2) stiffen up the main focus mechanism so that it is perfectly square with the table. Mine is a little loose and out of square. 3) Have your instructions reviewed by someone who has just used your product for the first time. I found them a little lacking.

This really does great I find not only can I use it for my coin collection but when I’m having trouble seeing stitches in my crochet I can hook it up to the larger screen 📺 and see the stitches very well. Size is great for transporting it where ever I go . Built very well . I do coin collecting with my grandson this also makes it easier to show him error coins . We have found quite a few . All together I really like this item so much and it was a very good price. I only wish it kept a charge longer.

I'm impressed.. this is not the microscope you will see the secret images on CPU chips, but for tiny soldering jobs, examining 3D print layer lines and even some fun Coin inspection, this does all you need it to do. The connection to the PC was flawless and windows camera connected no problem, allowing for live viewing and taking photos / videos right on the PC. The battery operation worked great and the light seemed sufficient for most things. I wish the brightness adjusting wasn't so automatic as sometimes when I turn the brightness up I want it brighter (and it auto adjusts down), but that's about my only complaint. The adjustment works well and could focus easily.

This was perfect for what I wanted it for, but one should know that’s this product is very much a “starter” microscope . The parts and flimsy and so cheap. Some low grade aluminum or even tin. Rather easy to set up. It can be finicky when trying to adjust.. but in full transparency that is likely operator error. But once you get through these things.. and use it. I was pretty happy. I am a mineral and crystal collector, so I love to look at the pieces magnified. I had been using a jewelry loupe, which worked.. but I couldn’t really capture a picture. - so I knew I wanted something small to start out.. I found one other “pocket microscope” oh my god it Was horrible. When I found this one I loved tat it was compact, but it has a lcd screen with a spot for a memory card l.. LOVE this! I haven’t yet purchased the memory card, BUT that hasn’t stopped me from setting it up zooming in and snapping a picture from my phone to share with my group.. keep in mind as the description says this is technically designed for coins. If that is what you will be using it for.. I think it would be a great! Obviously as shared is crazy mineral collectors can use for smaller specimens. And despite the disappointment in the material and lack of real quality.. I gave 5 stars. It meets the description perfectly. It works as designed; and at that, it works pretty cool.. and did I say.. you can record! Some of the pictures. One of the original piece and 2 inclusions that were not viable to the naked eye.. or were really little spots. The 4th picture is dendritic formations.. so as you can see it does work. Would i recommend yeah I think I would, and would share the things that I personally didn’t care for.

I had low hopes going into this because it was like $46 for a 1000x microscope. Once I got it I fell in love with it. I am able to connect it to my pc as well as bring it with me to work. I work at govmint and it’s perfect for on the go magnifying needs. Has a built in screen and has surprisingly good quality. Has a built in light (wish there was an on off option for it) but it does help a lot especially if you use it in the dark like I do. All in all it’s fun to use and is functional anywhere you can think of.
