I've only had this running for 2 days now. But, everything is great, so far. I have it running on battery, so it turns on when the proximity sensor senses motion. Works perfectly. No noise whatsoever. I kinda wish there was a gentle trickling sound. The cat took to it immediately. He tends to drink from the reservoir, not from the fountain (which surprises me.) Setup: super easy and obvious Noise: none battery: completely separate from the water storage and from the motor itself. Serves as a tray benath the unit. Don't know yet how long battery will last without recharging Comes with USB charging cable and also with plug-in converter for the USB cable (very convenient). The one oddity: I plugged in the battery (base) to charge it when I rec'd the unit. No lights showed on it. I looked in the manual, and it said there should be colored lights indicating charge level. But it also seemed to say that there would be no light showing when it was fully charged. So, I thought: maybe my unit is defective. No charging lights are showing. Or, maybe (somehow) I rec'd it fully charged! Turns out that (apparently) my battery arrived fully charged. This could be a good thing. But, the instructions should make a big bold statement saying that if it arrives fully charged -- you will NOT see any lights on the base. SO: IF YOUR UNIT SEEMS TO NOT BE CHARGING, IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE IT ARRIVED FULLY CHARGED.

Cats love fresh, running water. I needed a new car fountain and found this one. The directions were clear, making it easy to set up in a few minutes. It is quiet and works; plus it has a built in battery!

I have had a few different water fountains for the cats and this one is the best yet. It was easy to put together and seems well made. I like the battery base so it can be used anywhere, even in a power outage. When using the battery it has a motion sensor and turns on when the cat come near. The battery also lasts a long time. The pump motor is wireless, so no cord hanging out. The fountain was also very easy to clean. It came with a small brush to clean the pump. Stop looking and get this one. You won't be disappointed.

Our cat’s constant search for leaking faucets is over now that she’s discovered her new Wireless Cat Water Fountain. It’s quiet, small and unobtrusive, easy to operate, and a fun new way for our cat to get a drink. The fountain can be plugged into an outlet for a constant flow of water, but we’ve opted for the battery powered setting that automatically begins water flow only when our cat comes within a few feet of the fountain (and are finding that a single charge has lasted nearly a month, and there’s an indicator that alerts that the charge is low). The battery option also allows us to place it wherever we want and not just in close proximity to an outlet. The reservoir holds enough water to allow us to take weekend trips knowing she has the water she needs, but when home we change the water and clean the reservoir frequently since it’s so simple to deal with (another great feature). There’s a filter for the water, too, which makes us feel better when we do take a short trip. We’ve always marveled at how every cat we’ve lived with has not been happy drinking from a bowl. The Cat Fountain really seems to answer some instinctive urge that cats have for running water. We’ve seen other versions of cat fountains, but this is the first that’s so easy and practical to use, and that our cat is actually drinking from. We love it and so does she.

We really like this fountain. We tried to introduce our cat to a fountain once before, but she was afraid of the noise it made. This one is nearly silent, and she was comfortable around it right away! Plus, we like having two modes to choose from: constant flow when it is plugged in, and triggered by a motion-sensor when on (rechargeable) battery power. Easy to set up, clean, and operate.

Very easy to set up, intuitive, simple,, all functions work great, holds lots of water (we have 4 cats), easy to clean, very quiet. All four cats like drinking from it. Looks nice. Good value with deals. If you can plug it in to AC, it’ll be great. However, the battery lasts 3 or 4 days on one charge. Maybe it would last longer if we didn’t walk by and trigger it all day? Anyway, what I really dislike is that there’s no way for the cats to drink once the battery dies. There’s water in the reservoir but it has to be charged or plugged in to pump the water into the drinking dish. I have to put a regular bowl of water beside it just in case, which defeats the purpose somewhat.
