About as good as you can get for a budget head unit. It’s a little higher than a double din, so I had to cut my center bezel to fit (2005 Subaru Forester). Despite the lack of directions, a wire diagram, and FAQs that were definitely written by someone who doesn’t know what spell check is, it was easy to install. Especially if you’ve toyed around with these units. It follows the same diagram as my old one, so figured I’d attach a pic of it to help. It also comes packed with themes so if you don’t like the UI of one, you don’t have to dink around with downloading APKs. It’s connects fast; the CarPlay functionality is seamless and pairs immediately when the car is on. I did notice better sound, but I also installed some Kenwood 1666S speakers at the same time so I can’t say if it did anything for the OE speakers. This thing feels ALOT nicer quality than the budget ones that lack a solid touchscreen. Honestly it’s worth the $50.

As of right now, 5 stars, buy a separate harness to solder to the harness this stereo comes with, then just plug and play after that. Quick easy and works great. Only had it in for a night so far so update will be coming.

This is a fantastic head unit for the price. Unbeatable as far as I'm concerned. I put it in my 2001 Subaru Forester, primarily for Google maps navigation and iTunes music. I didn't install the backup camera because I'm good at turning my head and using mirrors, and because I didn't want to spend most of a day ripping out car paneling and routing wires. I took a chance on the unit, because there are a lot of cheap Chinese units in the marketplace. But I figured for the price it would be an affordable risk. I took off one star only because the unit is slightly larger than the usual 7" x 4" 2-DIN cutout size, so I had to trim a bit of plastic out of my console's plastic radio bevel. There is a trim piece provide, so that dressed it up when I was done hacking away. It all looks good now, bit it would have been much easier if the unit was sized to specifications. The wireless (and wired) CarPlay (via Android Zlink5) works great in this unit; it connects within seconds of starting the car, and I've had zero drop-outs or glitches. The radio also works, much better than my stock radio! My recommendations: 1) get the right wiring harness to connect your existing radio wiring harness to the female 16-pin wiring harness connector on the Haudio, it will save you an hour or two of wire splicing, 2) test everything before you put everything back in place, 3) if you want to wire up the backup camera, expect to spend a lot of time routing wires and removing your car's interior panels (its the same for ANY head unit installation!), and 4) prepare to trim a little plastic off of your existing bevel if the unit is too large for your opening.

Id give it 0 stars if I could. Bought it about 2 weeks ago and wired it up, matching all the wires and it wouldnt turn on. Returned and got a replacement and same thing. Used my multimeter and the wires are getting all their required power and hooked my old unit up and it instantly worked. Junk product.

This thing has more power than a small laptop, connects with ease and tons of features. I can't figure out a few of them just yet (like saving an EQ for my phone audio vs am/fm) but it does SO MUCH for so little money. If this thing doesn't deliver on your expectations for $36 you're impossible to please, go spend $200 so you can get a name brand sticker four your quarter window along with it and call it a day.

Wanted to try it out first. For the money, it's a decent little unit. The down side is once your phone is connected, it will not let you switch back to local stations. Also when accepting a call, if you answer with an ear piece, it will not let the earpiece function. I don't want everyone with me to always hear my calls. Aside from that, it's pretty good for the price.
