I was worried this might not work perfectly on my 2019 Nissan Armada Platinum but about a month after the install I can say that we've had zero issues with it. Works great and exactly like I expected. I did have to sit my wife down and show her how to flip back and forth from the stock Nissan info-center and the add-on CarPlay, but this was minor - she had never really sat down to study the stock info-center, either. Installation was a little tricky because like another review mentioned, the written instructions were not very useful. There are YouTube videos out there that will guide you through removing the dash panels, opening the screen components, and how to properly install the video ribbon cables onto the circuit boards.     • Works for a 2018 Nissan pathfinder
This worked perfectly for my 2018 Nissan pathfinder. IM SO EXCITED to have CarPlay. Few quirks when all set: for example have to exit the CarPlay to view front camera, but the rear view camera pops up when out into reverse. Wish I didn’t have to exit for front camera. It was a very tedious time consuming and honestly scary instal… directions were very confusing, but you tube is your best friend. Once we got it in, works amazing and so thankful!!     • Responsive and easy to install, but lacks critical voice and multi-driver support.
The positives to this unit are that the install is fairly straightforward and the software is very responsive. I like that it integrates well with the touchscreen and wheel control on the dash for navigating through the system. It also quickly boots into Android Auto and the quick switch button is a nice feature for easily alternating between the system and the factory system. Where this unit fails is the lack of voice support for Google Assistant. This is mentioned in the marketing, but it is a single line item that most purchasers would miss. Google Assistant is a non-negotiable when you are looking for a system to easily navigate with Google Maps. Having to pull out your phone or type on the screen to search for a location defeats the entire purpose of a hands-free system. IF there were other units on the market that DID NOT offer this functionality, one could forgive this unit for not having it. However there are OTHER manufacturers that do offer this necessary functionality. The second major drawback to this system is that vehicles with multiple drivers cannot easily select their device to use for audio, calls, and Android Auto/Carplay. If you are the only person who drives your car this is not an issue, however I bought this for our family car that my partner and our daughter drive. In order for them to use the system, they have to first disconnect from the vehicle bluetooth, pair with the device, then disconnect from the device and pair back with the vehicle. This is not a fluid process and detracts from the usability of the system. My enjoyment of the system went from a solid 8 out of 10 to a 3 out of 10 within the discovery of these deficiencies. It’s kind of weird that you have to double tap the hazards to get it to switch back to Apple CarPlay but instead of doing that, I’m using the physical button it came with. Just installed it on the driver side bottom of the dash so it’s out of the way. ... show more

If you're going to install this yourself, be sure and watch YouTube videos on how to break down the dash to get to your screen. I couldn't find a video on this exact model, but I did find some that were close enough to get me through it. Between those and the included instructions, I was able to get it done. I had one issue - the module sent had to be replaced with a different one. But the issue was resolved by the seller immediately, the new module arrived, and all is good. I love having my Apple CarPlay back!! ... show more

Directions as supplied were of limited help for DIY installation. The most difficult steps are those involving installation of the flat cables.
