  • VERY Impressed! VERY Impressed!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Honestly I had my doubts with only 14 reviews and figured I could return it free with Prime if this camera didn’t live up to my expectations but after trying it out today, I must say that I’m really impressed. There are so many pros to this system that I couldn’t give it anything but 5 stars. PROS: 1. Ease of setup/use - powered on the camera (it came fully charged), plugged in the monitor and it was up and running, no pairing, easy menu options, although the menu buttons on the side of the monitor would be easier to operate than on the back. There is a one touch button for the park distance lines which is nice but again it’s on the back so you either have to feel where it is or take the monitor off the mount to push. 2. Range - Holy cow it’s impressive! I have a 400+ foot driveway. Had the monitor inside the external garage and put the camera out by the mailbox. Picture was as clear as it was at 1 foot. I then put the camera inside my attached garage on the bumper of one of my cars which is probably 250 feet from the monitor going thru multiple cars, closed garage doors and walls and it worked great. Like I said impressive! 3. Magnet mount strength - again another impressive feature, this will not come off without a significant pull. 4. Picture Quality - see attached photo which just like the above pros, very impressive, colors/contrast are sharp and can be adjusted on the monitor if desired. Night vision- I put the camera in a 100% pitch black closet that has no light and the IR night vision picked everything up with surprisingly no granularity. 5. Construction/build of the system - the camera is very sturdy and well built. The monitor seemed light in weight (my iPhone is heavier) but works fine and since this is the inside piece, it should hold up. All the mounting brackets/plugs seem adequate. There is a slight design flaw with the camera angle adjustment. When the antenna is mounted the camera cannot be adjusted to to its flat 180 degree angle setting - think of this viewing angle as a parallel plane to the road which is what you want unless your viewing the tow hitch, this is due to the too shallow cutout in the case (see my attached pictures). Now your saying why would this be important? Mounting the camera horizontally on the truck tailgate and not being able adjust the camera to its full 180 degree position, the lens will be pointed 10-15 degrees down not allowing you to view an open trailer behind you or if mounted on the trailer horizontally, the road behind the trailer will not be fully viewable as the lens will be facing slightly downward looking at the pavement vice the cars. This issue can be overcome a number of ways by mounting the camera vertically, getting a different style antenna (rope) OR don’t use the antenna at all. I put the camera on the tailgate of my truck without the antenna in it, had the antenna on the monitor and it worked fine. 6. Camera runtime - now I haven’t tested this yet but I emailed the manufacturer prior to buying and received a very prompt reply stating the camera has a 18 hour daylight/9 hour night vision runtime. This seems on par with the 9600 mah battery they use and far exceeds any competitors claims. This makes this camera perfect for those who want to attach the camera to the back of their truck or trailer and see the traffic behind for the length of a normal drive and then recharge. 7. Value - compared to the competition, this system cannot be beat period, do your own research if you need more convincing. CONS: None really, a few inconveniences. Yes the buttons located on the back of the monitor and the inability to have the camera look a flat 180 degrees (see my attached pictures) with the antenna attached are design issues that can be overcome. Maybe the manufacturer will read this and correct on the next model. OVERALL: This a a GREAT system that IMO is tremendous value for your dollar. I hope this review addresses some of the questions you might have prior to buying. The 14 previous reviews had this at 5*s and you should believe the hype. It’s really that good! ... show more

  • Real World Followup Ratings after Weeks of Usage
Outstanding Performance. I originally wanted this for my long dog trailer I tow when rescuing labrador retrievers in various cities/states. I used it at first for Backup--and it's great---but let me tell you more. I wanted it for "real time" look at my back end when on 6 lanes in heavy traffic in San Antonio, Austin and other busy traffic scenarios so I could make safer lane changes and see gaps. And it worked great for that. The latest? I can carry up to 10 dogs. And I want to ensure they're doing well. So I tried this inside my dog trailer so I could get visuals of them while we're rolling. (Oh, I have air quality and temp gauges and two a/c, heater units as well), but I now can see them. So lets be clear--STRONG magnet--excellent camera with long charge life...Excellent Receiver screen (which can support two cameras)....and all the wiring needed to power. The Units wifi--gives great power--and by that--great coverage EVEN INSIDE MY TRAILER BACK TO MY TOW VEHICLE. So, I've mounted low bumper, high top of rear, inside the trailer with the simple addition of an Amazon magnetic stainless steel plate. Very affordable. What you get is better than I expected. Top notch product and top notch seller who I've had one question I needed some info on. ... show more

  • Great camera and screen, quality build Great camera and screen, quality build
3 month update: Camera has worked flawlessly until a couple days ago. I had left it on my truck constantly. I had driven 3 hours in hot, hot sun, parked overnight and it lost signal from the camera. I reconnected to the display, Pressed the power button on and off on the camera. Still no go. Read the printed manual again, and tried re-pairing, but instructions weren't clear to me. Then re-charged the battery manually. Still no go. Contacted Doxoury through email. Amanda gave me further instructions on things to try. Great and prompt service from her and the company. FINALLY, I put the display in "pairing" mode for CAM1, and immediately started pressing the camera power button repeatedly. It paired and is working fine again! Improved instructions for pairing and the various lights on the camera might help -- BUT I love this thing and it is still 5 stars for me! People who buy equipment such as this at this price point should not expect perfect long term plug-n-play performance IMHO, without having to thoroughly learn the details. **** End of update Prompt shipping. Base magnet is super strong. Cam was charged enough to work when it arrived. Instructions aren't perfect, but reading carefully a couple times is all it took. I was looking for lights that show the state of charge on the camera, but although it does have little led's, they don't really show charge state. The view screen upper right corner does, and that is good enough. Full charge after a couple hours on house current. This unit fits my needs perfectly! I have an older truck (no cam) that runs really well. I pull a 19 ft. boat, sometimes a 5th wheel camper, and sometimes the boat BEHIND the camper. I'm pretty good at hitching up, but it has always required multiple trips from the driver's seat to view the hitch and get it right. No more! Now that we've survived our marraige test, we didn't want tested anymore, either. That's worth the price right there. The pics of the display show the turnover ball for the 5th wheel, the boat with a couple inches to go, and the camera below the tailgate latch on the truck. ... show more

  • Connected Right off!
Easy set up paired in seconds: Things you should know on monitor: buttons are on the back, screen size is fine. The windshield attachment is cheap. The 3m dash attachment works best. Camera is stellar, magnet is not cheap it is amazing. Charge: for 4 hours before you use to help keep the batteries charged and is wireless connection is great. Turn off the monitor: You have to unplug from the cig lighter no on / off switch. There are Pros and cons but overall great camera and it will be used for a work truck will come in handy. ... show more

Update #2: I'm crying. It was charged 3 dots so I topped it off for this week's trip and it's DEAD. Every attempt to revive it has failed. We were spoiled and now past the return window. I'm hoping the manufacturer or Amazon will reach out and make exception to replace. We are on the road in traffic and really REALLY miss the convenience of seeing what's behind. UPDATE: After being frustrated that one antenna dropped out of the box in the dark as we were trying to back into our camp spot, I decided to purchase a hard case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TDJ7TLP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) which fits the camera, monitor, ANTENNAS and cords perfectly. (9"x6"x4.5" dimension) Although we have learned to use our phones to more quietly communicate backing directions, I was still never in the view of the mirror so this little gem will certainly cure that. I was skeptical about the ease and functionality that other reviewers touted. Straight out of the box -because it came fully charged - the camera synced right up, and the picture was crystal clear. I had my granddaughter walk through the house. I was really disappointed that it lost connection at about 70' but then I realized I hadn't attached the antennas. Once installed she walked to the other end of the house, through multiple rooms and headed out the back door. Still solidly connected! Tried the strength test on the bumper. I'm not a complete weakling by any means but that magnet wasn't coming off easily with one hand (for the video). Then hubs said he wanted to move the old trailer, so I attached the camera to the diamond plate bumper. Wasn't as strong there because of material type. I used the windshield suction cup monitor holder, plugged into the lighter hole and BAM impressed the socks right off the old man. Clear picture, wide angle, full rear view. As he backed (crooked) I didn't have to say a word. He corrected and eased back with the 2' gap to the fence he desired. The safety lines on the monitor were a huge help. Pros: monitor size not obnoxiously big, true plug and play, strongest magnet on the earth, wide angle, color daytime/grayscale night vision, portable between vehicles and battery lasts a long time. Cons: wish I'd had one years ago. Wish it came with a carrying case or pouch (see update on purchase) Well worth the price. I have a feeling our RV friends are going to want one for themselves!! ... show more

  • Back up cameras.
The cameras are clear. I used them on a 2300 mile trip and, they worked fine. They never moved. on my bumper. The magnets are verry strong. They worked great on the back bumper of my 40' fifth wheel. I would recommend these.

  • Great customer service
We chose this camera because it was wireless. We had an issue when we received it. It came partially charged and while installing it we ran into some trouble trying to find a place to set it up that it could attach magnetically to. It lost the charge pretty quickly. Charging it overnight was not long enough and it kept losing the charge very quickly! It was frustrating and we didn’t know what the problem was. After communicating the issue to the seller, they agreed there seemed to be a problem and would replace it for us. We left the original camera on the charger while waiting for the replacement. It stayed on the charger for over a week. When the new one came in, we charged it up as well and when we went to install it, we realized the original camera was also working because our kitchen, where the original was on the counter, was showing up on the monitor! LOL! After notifying the seller that they were both working, they allowed us to keep both so we could either use them both with the split screen or just keep one as a backup that was fully charged, eliminating the need to remove it each night to charge it. An FYI; there are FOUR blue dots that need to be lit up for it to be fully charged. It took us several days for the first deep charge. Both cameras are now working great and we are very happy with our purchase! Side note: my husband was paranoid that someone could just pass by his Jeep and steal the camera since it is not hardwired. Also, we have a spare tire centered on the back of the Jeep. Finding a centered location that was also able to accommodate the magnetic feature of the camera and was not obvious to a passerby was a challenge. Our solution was to get a steel light switch plate and attach it with long zip ties to the inside of the spare wheel. The camera is very secure. The magnet is very powerful and not easy to remove unless the tail gate is open and it is accessed from the back of the spare tire. We bought a switch plate that had a wide solid area between the openings and it made an extremely secure base for the camera! Hope this helps someone else with this problem. My husband is handicapped and the wireless connection made us choose this one over others that he would have had to find someone to install and incur additional costs. It has worked very well for our needs. I highly recommend this, especially for jeeps that don’t have a built in rear view camera. ... show more
