my bases for comparison are an old leather coat about the same length, a liquid snowboard coat i've had for over a decade, and an arctix i picked up about the same time. this coat is amazing! wind is no problem. it's very warm. tons of pockets, including side pockets with a small lip that prevent things from falling out. hood is good. coverage is amazing down to mid thigh. almost like sitting on a pillow as well. looks pretty good, too. only gripes: double zipper is hard to use. skill issue on my behalf. don't even need to zip most of the time. i love the thumbhole sleeves, but when i fully extend my arms, it tugs a bit and doesn't want to extend. i may have longer arms than most. overall 5/5 love this coat. great for cleveland winters. hope it lasts as long as the liquid brand has. ... show more

The Parka is overall quite good for the sale price I paid of $80. The internal material is almost like a puffer coat. It's very warm and comfortable and the fit of an XL is good for a 5'8", 215lb male. I love all the pockets. I'm coming from ScotteVest Revolution Plus 2.0 (had it for a long time, it was time to throw out). The shoulder straps are an interesting idea, but I look absolutely ridiculous when using them so they probably won't be used; I'm glad they can be removed. The velcro on the cuffs and hood are particularly strong, but I'm not sure the stitching behind them is up the challenge, be sure grip the velcro, and not just the coat's fabric, when adjusting them. Speaking of the cuffs, I didn't think I'd use the thumbhole cuffs, however, if you tighten the velcro cuffs, it creates this extra loop of material that can bother your wrists; using the thumbhole cuffs, it prevents the friction. I do struggle zipping this coat as I think I've seen with another review. It's just a little awkward trying to push the zipper combo to the end of its track while having to lift the zipper combo toward you to reach during zipping (because its low to the ground, being a parka). It would be awesome if at least one of the inside pockets had a zipper or even velcro to seal it. But again, quite good. ... show more

This coat is very warm and comfortable in cold weather! I bought this coat vs. others that are similar because along with having a zipper, this jacket also has metal snaps for fast closure vs. velcro. I've never had a jacket with velcro closures that actually stay attached. This jacket is quality made, and I would definitely buy this jacket again. ... show more

Also needed a coat that looked simi dreasy, covered my knees, and would zip up over my nose and ears when needed. This coat fits the bill! It's a little heavier than I expected.
