My 13 year old artist son is an expert on markers, and he ranks Windsor & Newton the best, even above Copic. He needed to replace a heavily used blush marker, and this Amazon a la carte option seemed like the perfect way. However, he was very disappointed with his purchase: 1) He received an OLDER version of the marker, "Brushmarker", which was the name of the marker before W&N renamed it "Promarker brush". 2) So, it should have been OK, but the color was substantially different from the newer blush marker he was trying to replace. It was still a blush color, so not unusable, but NOT the precise color he was expecting (artists can be very picky, esp. if they are used to large color sets). Windsor & Newton is still an excellent marker, but "buyer beware" if trying to buy singles like this. It would be better to buy in a retail store where the color can be verified (stores often provide paper for marker testing).

Great marker! I'm embarrassed to say I ordered this marker by mistake. We were looking for Henna Ink Markers for temporary tattoos! Needless to say, it did not work! Lol! On a good note, we are all artist and my daughter uses markers for illustrations in books. She is now hooked on them so I will be getting more! Serendipity at it's best!

I bought cool gray 6 two months ago and it was okay, a little dark for my purposes. I was just learning so just marked it down as par for the course. I'm getting better now so I invested in the Cool Gary 2 and it is perfect.

This blending pen works wonderfully. The only thing I don't like, is that some of the color sticks to the pen and you have to use it on paper to wipe off the colors you don't want. I think that is normal in blending tho. I am happy with it and will buy another when needed.
