I purchased this for I could have Affordable furniture for my scrapbooking space. I wasn’t so sure looking after reviewing/looking at the reviews but I went ahead and purchase it anyway. I am very satisfied at how nicely it holds up. The drawers can fit quite a bit but holds weight good. I could fit two of my binder punchers in the top drawer that’s with having dividers in. Also additional space on top that allows for more space and holds everything in one neat organized place. I have the wheels on mine placed on carpet and it holds sturdy. I would recommend not putting the wheels on though. Been using it so far for little over a month. Great storage option and was strong. I would like to remove my wheels and by a golden leg bracket. Wish they sold those for this product! The set up was a bit difficult at first but if you follow The directions you should be fine. I would suggest using the pictures as your directions and guides being that the parts are not labeled. It would’ve been nice day labeled each bag of parts because figuring out the directions of things was a bit difficulty but I did Rely heavily on the pictures to make sure I Is symbled right. I would also say you wouldn’t need the additional item as a mallet but it does come in handy. ... show more

I needed something to keep my kids' arts and craft supplies in. For the price this little cart is proving to be a great solution. I have plenty of storage for all of my kids' supplies in here, and because it's on wheels we can set up easily wherever we need to. The drawers allow me to sort things out and keep like supplies together and the cabinet works well for the larger items like paper, canvases and paints. It was a bit time consuming to assemble, for how small it is, but some of that is because I did it alone and some of it was due to the quality of the parts. The drawer slides are real drawer slides with wheels and tracks rather than the notched slides I usually see on pre-fab furniture. I think they'll hold up for years even with my kids using them. ... show more

The holes for the center wall were not in the right spot, so the top was 1 inch off from the rest of the unit. I could not get the drawers to fit or the shelf because the center wall holes were crooked. I’m getting it replaced so I will update on the new unit when it comes in. Update: the new one looks great and is sturdy. My only complaint is most of the screws for the drawers aren’t 100% tight, like the holes are the slightest bit too big or the holes in the wood are stripped. Because they keep spinning when I tighten them. But I’m not worried of them falling out. It’s nothing a little E6000 wouldn’t fix if you apply while building. Also, some of the pilot holes weren’t drilled all the way for the casters so you need to lean into it to get the screws in, but they do go in manually. The door was super easy to get on straight and the drawers open and close smooth. Only thing I didn’t do in the instructions was the white block supports on the back that you screw in. I didn’t see the point of them and that step does not have any pilot holes to use. Also, don’t add the top board until you slide the two back pieces in. It’s basically impossible to shove them into the designated slot with the top board already attached. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. It was a pain half building the first one, realizing it was defective, taking it apart, sending it back, waiting a week for the replacement, and building it again, but I love the second unit I got. And yeah, it does have a slight chemical smell but I don’t smell it unless I’m bent down opening the unit. My desk is right next to it and I don’t smell it when I’m there. ... show more

    • Goes together and works great if you take your time

Despite somewhat unclear instructions, the pictures *do* make sense if you take your time and follow along. When unpacking, lay each panel out in the same orientation as the drawing and stack like pieces together...this will make assembly a lot less frustrating. Tear off the page which labels hardware, as many pieces are quite similar but the number of them is correct, at least in the two I had ordered. The drawer rails in particular are tricky as the drawings show only the exploded vs assembled view, but so long as they aren't installed upside or backwards everything lines up perfectly with the pre-drilled holes and the drawers operate smoothly and lock into position once assembled. To make the drawers stronger and able to take a bit more weight, you can purchase additional reinforcing corner brackets (the small brown plastic pieces which lock the back panels into place) at big box hardware stores in the bench stock aisle, where all the actual hardware is located. A thin layer of wood glue along the seams is also recommended. If you're having trouble making sense of the instructions, search YT for "IKEA Alex drawer assembly"...the process is virtually identical. I also recommend only using a manual screwdriver for assembly, as the pieces are only MDF and don't take much to tear out with a powered driver. It goes together in under two hours solo if you lay everything out in the beginning; take your time and have a useful piece you can enjoy for years, or rush it and get a botched end result. I use this as a printer stand in my home office. For me this solved the problem of where do I put my printer and have the supplies out of sight while adding additional storage in the drawers. I am very happy with the design and function of this piece. Some people have said it is difficult to assemble, but all of my pieces were clearly marked and I made sure I had everything before I started assembly. It is typical "flat pack" assembly, so if you don't have experience with that it might seem a little confusing but I found the instructions clear and well illustrated. I've been looking for the perfect storage for my room and finally found this one on Wayfair. Of course, this item was all sold out and cost over like $200, which was disappointing, but good ol' Amazon had just what I was looking for! This was basically the exact same model/ furniture as the one on Wayfair for cheaper, and with Prime, I wouldn't have to pay extra for shipping. Thank tha lawddd. Assembly wasn't too bad. The instructions were somewhat out of order though, which was annoying, and it didn't have the instructions on how to build out the drawers for some reason... but luckily I was able to figure it out myself and improvise when I didn't have all of the screws I needed. There were a decent amount of pieces to put together, by the way. In the end, it was all worth it. I love how it looks with my room, and I love the extra storage. The only thing that kind of sucks for myself is that I feel like the drawers don't really hold much, but I think that just means I have way too much office supplies, haha. Anyway, LOVE THIS. I don't often write a review, but thought this cabinet deserved one. I compared many different cabinets but kept coming back to this one. I needed a sturdy stand for my printer and needed paper and supply storage. This thing fit the bill to a T. A lot of reviewers complained that this item was extremely hard to put together - it wasn't. It took me a couple hours - and I was interrupted several times - but it was just a bit more difficult than an Ikea piece. Ikea has these things down to a science. One reviewer suggested that I label the parts . . .that was brilliant! I took a permanent marker and marked each parts package (there are several) and I labeled each wooden piece - there are several of those too. So, when I went to step one and it said to use side A and screw ZZ (as an example), I could just grab the right part and package. Once put together it is exactly what I needed. A really sturdy cabinet, with wheels, that I rolled into the storage closet. The printer fits on it perfectly, all the drawers move smoothly and the door closes in the right place. I am almost sorry it has to go in a closet - it would look nice as an office piece. I hope this review helps someone else. Remember, label everything before you begin. ... show more

    • The instructions are useless

The assembly instructions for this cabinet are almost completely useless. There are many, many pieces, and NONE of them are labeled. How hard would it have been to put little stickers like A, B, or C on the pieces and the myriad tiny bags of hardware? The pages of the instructions are 8-1/2 x 11 and stapled together. All one gets is pictures. No description, no actual instructions. It literally took me 45 minutes to figure out which piece was which of the top, bottom, and sides. All I had to go on was comparing placement of holes in the picture to the pieces. I labeled them myself with a marker. The drawer rails are bundled not with all the same kinds together, but with one of each taped together. My daughter finally helped me put the cabinet together, and the pictures were so bad that it took her over an hour to figure out how the drawer rails worked. Also, the hardware to hold the shelves is the wrong size and falls right out. Once we finally got the cabinet built, it looks nice, and seems quite sturdy. But the incredible frustration of building it, right now, overshadows everything else about this cabinet. ... show more
