    • No problems here - surprisingly solid cabinet is exactly what I want
Style: 5 Drawers Color: Black
I would give this set of cabinet/drawers 4.5 if possible, only because some of the instructions could be clearer and some of the illustrations are slightly different than the actual parts, and the wheel attaching process could be better. But I'm surprised at how solid and sturdy the wood feels (compared to other times I've gone with cheap furniture) and I had no real problems putting it together. I can see where some of the reviewers had problems, especially with the drawers. I also had to reverse one step (take the top off) because instructions didn't make it super obvious that I needed to install the back panel during a previous step. Super obvious meaning like Ikea makes their instructions. However, if you very carefully look at every step and diagram you should be fine! I noticed the pictures of the drawer rails don't have the same number of holes in them that the actual pieces do. I used a little common sense and made a *complete test drawer* to make sure I got it right. The way the wheels attach to the bottom is very flimsy and screws were going in at all directions because the holes don't line up that well with the holes in the wheel plate thing. Having said that, they all got in and the cabinet is standing strong, full of stuff, as I write this. It doesn't feel weak, it just seems like they could have lined those up better for my peace of mind. I was nervous buying this cabinet because of the one start reviews but now I feel like it deserves my rounded-up 5 stars to compensate for those. It's exactly what I needed, nice combination of big cabinet, small drawers for random crap, and a narrow profile. Looks good too! ... show more

    • Rock solid
Style: 5 Drawers Color: Black
Good piece of furniture that is rock solid once assembled and quite heavy. I use it for craft storage and appreciate that whatever laminate they used is tough and doesn’t nick or scratch easily. Assembly was a bit time consuming but not difficult for one person to accomplish. Holes were drilled correctly, screws and hardware all worked and overall strong materials used. I would recommend and may purchase a second one for another room. ... show more

    • Functional and Met Expectations
Style: 5 Drawers Color: White
Good product. . . instructions not so great. . . If you are of the engineering mind and go slowly, the instructions wont be too bad. A few hints. . . (1) look at ALL the parts before starting. There are mulitple sets of similar parts and they are distinquished by "long vs. short" and "large vs. small". THe packages aren't labeled (not the smartest way to make things easy) but the parts list pictures are accurate, so whenever you aren't sure look carefully at the part and the picture and you wont go wrong. (2) Dont overtighten the screws (it's easy to do). Make sure you stop once you feel adequate tension and the screw is all the way in. (3) if a CAM doesn't fit, clean out the hole; there often is small wood chips/debris in it. (3) When putting the shelves together, just remember the rail guide wheels are attached to the shelf and go in the BACK, not the front. (4) make sure to use the 16mm measurement when adding the drawer guides to the sides of the cabinet (it's the 2nd hole, not the first) . . . and wheels should be in the front for these. Take your time and all will be well. . . ... show more

    • Excellent Storage Unit That Fits Perfectly
Style: 5 Drawers Color: White

After an extensive research, this Winsome Wood Halifax stood up among other storage units with its size, color, design, esthetic look and price. It fitted perfectly the space I had available and holds a lot of items. It’s relatively easy to install - you just need time. I assembled it in a period of three days - a little bit at the time. I’m very pleased by this product and I recommend it. ... show more

    • Flimsy, wobbly and not sturdy
Style: 5 Drawers Color: Black
It gets a star for arriving safe and sound and that's probably the only good thing about this purchase. The assembly was complicated and took a long time. After all that work and time spent on it, it turned out to be very wobbly, flimsy and not sturdy. Even the casters were bad, one was broken and the other wouldn’t go inside the hole. I purchased 3 of these and all three were wobbly, flimsy and loose so it wasn’t like it was just one unit that was bad, no all three were the same and had the same problems. Do yourself a favor and get similar cabinets from Ikea, they have similar office cabinets/drawers much more durable, high quality and sturdy. ... show more

    • Cabinet could go anywhere in your home...looks great!
Style: 5 Drawers Color: Black
The storage cabinet is in my laundry room to replace all the storage space I lost when I bought a stacked washer and dryer. My previous washer and dryer each had a large storage drawer at the bottom. I am very happy with my purchase. I myself did not assemble the cabinet. Amazon offered assembly services(not free) and I did not hesitate because my head would have exploded if I had tried to do it myself. It was stress free to pay for a professional to put it together and all I had to do was put the cabinet in its location. The top storage is where I can put detergent bottles, etc, and the easy to open drawers are great, with enough room to store a number of other things. ... show more

    • Looks Nice, could be MUCH easier to assemble
Style: 5 Drawers Color: White
Works for want I needed it for, I wouldn’t recommend it for a everyday, moving around working on clients hair. It is not wood. Very hard to assemble, took me 2 tries. The hardest part is figuring out the drawer glides they are not labeled so it took putting them on wrong and reversing them.

    • Read the Instructions
Style: 5 Drawers Color: Black
I followed other's advice and laid out all pieces and marked them before I began assembly. This helped immensely as the instructions do not have words but are only photos with each part identified with a letter. Pay close attention to the photos, especially the close ups for details. The unit went together fairly quickly and all of the holes lined up. The manufacturer was very helpful in helping me when I did not follow the directions exactly and needed assistance. A very good experience. I would purchase additional products from this company. ... show more
