  • Won’t ever turn back to uncrimped wires
Style: 24V 40W
I’ve had to change multiple heater cartridges in my day and having them quick connected just outside the hotend has been a game changer. No more fishing wires through the entire machine to change a bad heater cartridge. Just unclip it and add a new one to the wiring. Is don’t plan on using the longer wires now that they have been installed but I will use the shorter actual cartridge for easy swaps. All wires on 3d printer should be like this. ... show more

  • Well made sets, work really well for CR10S Pro printer. Easy swap out /replacement with connector
Style: 24V 40W
These are nice replacements for my CR10S Pro V2 printer. I like the JSTM connectors, converted my heater and thermistor to these connectors. Some have said they are a concern because they theoretically pull 3.33 amps at 12V DC. Doubtful this is an issue at all given the very short time they would ever pull full a full load during initial heating ramp. Rated at 3 amps continuous. At 24V it is even less of an issue only pulling 1.6 amps max. I see other people reviewing about melted connectors. Must have pulled a lot more amps, possibly a dead short in their wiring or some other failure. My connectors and wires don't even get warm at max load. ... show more

  • 24v heater cartridges - Had initial concerns due to other reviews
Style: 24V 40W
I ordered these to go with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099KRXSX4 - Thermistors. I Popped the 2-pin headers out of their housing and added them to a 4-Pin JST-SM connector with the thermistors for a rewiring project. Initially I was concerned that they would melt based on some of the other reviews. It looks like the ones that melted were 12v cartridges with higher amperage. The JST-SM connectors can handle the lower amperage of the 24v carts, I have been using these for a few weeks now, and the housing for the JST-SM connectors does not get any warmer than room temp. ... show more

  • Excellent
Style: 24V 40W
I used these on my e5+ and this is a much better solution for my printer. I cut the stock wires and soldered this in with the connector closer to the hotend. Now it's easy to replace if I need to.

  • Easy to use, but remember you need to PID the Hot End
I replaced the stock heater cartridge on my Ender 3 Pro with one of these, and ran into some issues. It didn't occur to me that a different wattage would have different results! If you install this, be prepared to run a PID on your Hot End and re-tune it in for optimal efficiency. (Giving rating based off 40W version, which has been perfect.) ... show more

  • Makes tool changes on my 3D printers much faster!
I love these guys. First, in my experience there’s no real quality concern to watch out for with ceramic heater cartridges, and even if these burn out faster than the average bear: a) they’re quick to swap out courtesy of the JST-SM connector and B) they’re cheap. I’ve used them with my 3D printers to make quick change hotends with different nozzles so that I don’t have to go through the process of changing the nozzle with the end at temp and check for leaks etc. every time I want to switch from a 0.4 to a 0.6mm nozzle. Huge time saver. Don’t be afraid of putting the JST-SM connector on the other end of your hotend cable. It’s easy, and you’ll find yourself finding a lot of applications for those little connectors once you know how. ... show more

  • Insufficient JST Connector
The first one I used started to heat up right around the JST connector (could smell it, actually) and a print eventually failed indicating thermal runaway. The connector was actually hotter than the wire right next to the heater cartridge. Looking up the specs of the JST connector used, it appears to be a SMR-02V-B or similar. The datasheet for this connector only shows it rated for 3 amps. These heater cartridges are rated for 40W. In a 12 volt printer, that means that under max load, the heater would have a current of 3.33 amps (Watts=amps*volts -> 40W/12V = 3.3333A). This is above the 3 amp max the connector is rated for. I did get a few good prints out of the first one before failing, but the fact that a connector is used out of spec isn't a good sign. ... show more

  • Great replacement part for Anycubic 3D printer
Perfect fit for my Anycubic Mega Pro 3D printer. Be ready to do a little wire splicing, as there's a good possibility the connector on the wires isn't the same as what you want to plug it into. :-) This isn't a fault, of course. It's just that many devices use many types of connectors.
