I was looking for a cream based eye shadow in rose gold and this was a product name I trusted. The first couple of applications it was smooth going on but now that I’ve used it 10+ times it is a little chunky at times. I was hoping to only wear it on my lids but it’s too heavy and I have to wear some color under my brow to soften it up. I ordered the shade “rolly” and it is definitely a true rose gold color. The finish can be different depending on how much you apply. A light/sheer layer will look more glittery, while a thicker layer will look like a wet metallic sheen. Be careful layering it, it can start looking real thick…real fast. It won’t crack or flake or wrinkle, but it will look a bit caked on. You gotta work fast with this formula and work in very thin layers if you plan on building it up. It’s easy spread over the lids and blend outward with a finger. Totally can be used for a one shadow look or as a topper. The dry down is quick and it is transfer-proof once dry. Overall, I like this liquid eyeshadow. I just wish it was a little easier to layer and didn’t dry down so fast. I’ve got to be on my game when I pull this one out to finish a look or it could end badly. ... show more

This Winky Lux liquid shadow was too glittery for me. I liked the rose color but it made my Irish skin/blue eyes look like I was crying or sick. Also the liquid was hard to spread and transferred very easily.

This Winky Lux Rolly metallic cream foil eyeshadow is a super pretty rose gold color that’s highly pigmented. It’s shimmery and perfect for a special occasion look, but I also like it as an everyday base color or highlight. The shadow is buildable, but I’m mature so I don’t go too dark or it’s not as flattering on me. But this shadow looks tasteful despite my age when I buff it out for a more sheer and subdued neutral look. I like this color layered with lighter shadow that brightens my eye area, and it’s also a pretty accent to my everyday matte shadow colors. This Rolly shadow glides on smoothly and is creamy but dries down to a powdery finish. It’s really easy to apply. I prefer dabbing some on the back of my hand and using my finger or a small flat brush to apply it and then using a small fluffy brush for blending or buffing. Once dry, this shadow wears well as it’s long lasting and doesn’t smear or crease on me. I thought it might make a glittery mess, but it really stays put and fallout has been minimal.
