Color: starfield scheme
Been a big fan of Elite controllers since they came out. When you play enough games, paying a bit more for something that you use that much just makes sense. (Enjoy my cinematic video of the opening of the controller, the song is the Starfield theme, so no copyrights have been hit) LITTLE HISTORY Let's just say, I am curious to why I continued with them because the first one I got had a terrible stick drift. The second one I bought off a friend would just die after 2 hours of game play and the last one of the first generation, you guessed it... had a terrible stick drift. Oddly enough the stick drifts were on fairly new Elites, less than a year old. When I sent in a return or repair request, Microsoft all but told me to go stick where the sun does not shine, well for most people anyways. SECOND GENERATION I will applaud MS for this version. They are well made, durable and the one I have has a built in battery that never ever died. I threw the controller a few times, much to the dismay of my wall that I had to repair... why? Trying to fly that flipflapper broom stick in Hogwarts was near impossible in a race. But anyways... It lasted a good 4 years. In all honesty it shouldnt of lasted a year with the abuse I gave it, so I felt we evened out some. But the controller was awesome and I enjoyed it. STARFIELD Yeah I had to force myself to stop playing the game. It consumed my life for a month. But during that time I bought the "limited edition" (I mean only half million were made right, I guess thats limited edition). It was an impulse buy when I was in my planet hopping daze. Was I pleasantly surprised. This controller is by far the best controller I have ever used. The grips feel just right, the triggers have this little extra texture, the thumbsticks work perfect (no drift) and the D pad thing is gold and precise. Wish it had an internal battery but I have rechargable batteries so they don't run out too often. For the few extra bucks, even if you don't like or play Starfield, this controller is well worth it. Just don't try to fly those garldarn brooms in hogwarts with it!!!

Pros: - Really comfortable to hold - Good textured feel on the back, I can't imagine dropping this thing by accident unless I consciously tried to - Weight is light but not cheap-feeling, compared to my PS4 controller which is light as well, but doesn't feel as premium - The stellar shift is by far the most beautiful design imo -- totally worth the 1 week wait without prime. - Pairs flawlessly with PC with no further action required on your part, just turn on pairing mode by holding down the pairing button on the front of the controller for 3 secs and Windows should just detect it and prompt you to pair. - Also pairs automatically to Steam which is my original use case for this device. - Buttons feel sturdy and tactile. While PS4 controller wasn't mushy by any means, this thing blows it out of the water. Cons: - Price, it's a bit expensive but if you're playing a lot of controller heavy games then this is probably the best one on the market imo, especially if you're a Steam gamer. - D pad i feel is in a weird place compared to what I'm used to on the Steam Deck and PS4 controller, but that may be just because I've never used an XBOX controller before. This will probably subside as I get used to the layout and is nitpicking at worst. Overall a pretty good buy. Gonna keep testing it out but right now I am playing Honkai Star Rail and it works flawlessly.

I’ve had this controller for awhile now and it has preformed amazingly. I was worried about buying it because it was cheaper than some others, and some reviews weren’t happy about the quality, but I am happy to say that I’m very impressed with this controller. I got the lunar finish and it’s gorgeous. And the grip material on the back is great too! Super happy with this purchase, especially since the alternative controllers were $30-$40 more. My nieces made me buy them one in blue camouflage and it has, so far, survived all the traumas they have savagely inflicted upon it. Have you ever seen how kids these days play Fortnite? They’re brutal! Because of that, I have to buy them one literally ever year for Xmas. We shall see if this one survives. I will try to post an update if I remember. Update: Both of these controllers (and my lunar one) are still functioning!!! I consider this an impressive feat, especially since my nieces have been mashing the buttons playing Fortnite and COD. Sometimes… I can literally hear the plastic shells of the controller creaking from the pressure of their death-grips. True story. Anyways, I cannot believe that I didn’t have to buy another set this past Christmas. What a relief! I’ll update their fates (the controllers, not the nieces) at the end of the year. Fingers crossed that we can make it to 2 whole years without one of these things kicking the bucket. 🤞🤞 Update: One has finally kicked the bucket. It had a good run of it though! Still happy with the purchase as it has outlasted all of the other controllers my little maniacs has murdered. Will be purchasing another one of these real soon.

I bought this to replace one of my old Xbox controllers that I've been using for many years and because I absolutely love the coloring. Maybe it's just that this new one isn't broken in yet, but all of the buttons and the D-pad especially feel clicky/plasticy. I was honestly a little disappointed. It also feels a bit lighter in weight which I suppose could be a good thing in terms of fatigue. The good news: It works well, free of defects, connects easily, all of that. I'll continue to use it and see how things go.

I haven't experienced stick drick, in fact I used this controller so much I had to buy replacement thumbsticks because I worn them bare. Love this controller, because of it's Frankenstein-esque design and scuff or mark on it just gives it character. Glad it comes with a rechargeable battery.

Everything about this controller is better than the controller that comes with the console. The color is what I like the most. The shift between purple and blue, depending on how the light hits the controller. I'm not a fan of blue, but it works with the purple. And purple is my favorite color. The grip is also a little more comfortable than the basic controller. The front face plate is smoother than the basic controller, while the back has a bumpy feel to it. Just like the basic controller. The sides of the handles feel similar to the back plate, except it's like hardened rubber instead of plastic. Which allows for a better grip of the controller. And, my hands actually sweat less with this controller. Especially during intense gaming sessions that can be stress inducing! The triggers have the same grain texture like the basic controller. The A, X, Y and B buttons are purple. Love it! Out of all the controllers I've looked at, this has the best color scheme. Unless I were to have one custom made through the Microsoft creation lab. But that takes time, and I needed a second controller fast, so this one was it!
