- ATTENTION PLEASE READ. We can customize these 1 inch mini blinds up to an 1/8th of an inch. Once you click your size you will see a "Customize Now" button on the top right. You then type inside the window frame mount or outside the window frame mount and you exact measurements to the 1/8th of an inch. If you need more precise measurements order slightly larger. For example if you need 24 1/2w x 48 1/2 order the 25w x 49h size and then customize if from there.
- For an inside mount, give us the exact measurement of the opening to the 1/8th inch and WE will take a 3/8 inch deduction off that exact measurement given so the shade will fit perfectly in that opening. The shade has to be slightly smaller then the opening to fit inside. Again we take the deduction so give us the exact opening. You need at least 1 3/8" of depth at the top of the window for an inside mount.
- For an OUTSIDE the window frame mount we take no deductions. The shade will come exactly the size specified when you fill out the customization options. Typically you will go wider and higher then the opening for an outside mount. For doors they are always outside mounts. You mount them directly to the door above the glass and usually come right below the glass making sure you do not hit the door knob.
- These high quality 1" mini blinds are a 7 gauge aluminum and totally private. Lift cords and cord holes disappear when blind is closed. Free color samples available upon request. Our factory is usually spot on but they are allowed an 1/8th variance which is very small.
- Head rail, bottom rail, end caps, lift cords & cord tassels are all color coordinated. We can customize any size up to 72W x 72L.

I do prefer the aluminum blinds to the vinyl. Be sure your measurements are correct. The aluminum blinds clean more easily than the vinyl and they have a nice shine to them which you would never get from vinyl blinds. The blinds fit perfectly and they look beautiful. You will not be disappointed.

Nice blinds, but they came in with a little wrinkle in about three four slates and since the aluminum its still wrinkled. The packing was not damaged at all, so I assume they were shipped that way. The damage is not enough to bother my husband so we did not send back, but I still notice the damage every time I open the blinds.

Up and down action extremely stiff. For waaay off from color pictured. Instructions list parts, but then never say how to use. Instructions say front or back of part, bit really if you've never seen the part you have no idea which is front or back. The instructions also confuse mid way installation for inside and outside mount. I could go on but you get the idea:. Instructions totally useless. Item itself only mediocre at best. Very stiff up and down action. And not because I mounted the item with brackets impeding motion -- unfortunately extremely difficult to accomplish. I will never buy again . Terrible terrible.

Excellent communication with seller. Delivery speed was as indicated and timely. Blinds were length as ordered and expected. They mounted easily. Only had one that didn't operate properly initially, but I was able to get it to align the mechanism correctly, and then it worked correctly and like the others. Definitely would purchase again, and recommend.

5/8 in gap on each side wanted 68 by 36 inch blind did not need them to change they we're helping and made 67 5/8 this was not helpful. they should change their sizing chart window size not blind size poor customer service would not waste your time buying

The window in our garage is 60" x 60" - so not available off the shelf at big box stores. Had to replace some good wooden blinds that were tasty to one member of a nearby family of chipmonks. Chip or Dale must have gotten caught in the garage and tried the window for an escape, bent the slats and chewed at them as well. Aluminum should be a better material. I did an inside mount and worked fine. Since it's the garage, I did not bother with the valance.

When I ordered this in Dec 2014 First Rate Blinds contacted me by e-mail to confirm my window opening dimensions with 1/8" precision. I re-measured them, they were slightly off 71W x 48H dimensions that I ordered. I requested width to be shorter by 1/4 inch. Wouldn't think of that if they didn't ask me to confirm. These blinds are indeed custom made, because they fit my inside mount very precisely. Also, no any problems after 8 months of usage. Very well made and nice looking product. Excellent customer care.
