The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a AC unit for the house as we're approching spring time. I waited a while to test this unit out cause it was currently cold in my area. Once it heated up I gave this ac unit a few days to see if I liked it. To my amazment it worked out exactly as I wanted. I had a similar unit back in 2004 but it didn't have the ice/water capability. Been experimenting and I've now loaded it with the ice packs that are included as well as ice and water. Ice and water definitely felt like they produced colder air. Going to try ice water with salt next. Plan to get a thermometer to see just how cold ice water can make blown air.     • Decent cooler fan with some handy features
It’s not loud when it’s running, and the air it blows out feels pretty cool, especially if you crank it up to a higher setting, it’s got some real power behind it. I’ve been using this cooler fan in the evenings or when I’m hanging out in the living room. The water tank is easy to fill, and the whole thing doesn’t take up much space. It swings about 60 degrees, so the air gets around the room okay. It’s got this simple, clean look to it, nothing fancy, but it feels sturdy for what it is. I like that I can toss in the ice packs for an extra chill, and the controls are basic, so there’s no hassle figuring it out. Before bed, I’ll sometimes set the timer for like half an hour to let the air circulate a bit, it keeps things cooler without me having to think about turning it off, since it shuts down on its own. That part’s pretty reliable. It’s not like it’s blowing my mind or anything, but it does what I need it to. On the flip side, the tank isn’t huge, so if you’re running it all day, you’ll be refilling it a couple times.     • It leaked all its water within seconds

I was so excited to get this evaporative fan for my grow room. It is hard to keep the humidity at a good level with the grow lights on. I'm m currently using a small humidifier but it gets so hot in there. Sadly to say this fan did not work at all. First it took me an hour or so to screw in the pump which I felt should have been assembled already. I had to find a small enough screw driver and then figure out how to reach where the screws need to go in while positioning the pump. It was such a small and awkward space to reach but I finally got it in. Secondly the mess of water all over my hardwood floors. It leaked all the water within seconds of turning on. I tried a second time and the same thing happened. I chose this one based on the good reviews so I am thinking I received a defective one. I am returning it and I don't feel comfortable ordering another one, don't want to take that chance. I have ordered another product in hopes that it will deliever. ... show more
