Purchased this for a dorm room that doesn’t have air conditioning. It was easy to put together. The chill bottles are small, fit easily in a small dorm fridge/freezer and when used with the water tank in the air conditioner, they really helped to immediately cool the room! A glorified fan. It’s easy to set up and the air flow is consistent. It’s a lot larger than I anticipated, and it’s not as cold as advertised. I wouldn’t say it cools an entire room, but it’ll cool you down if you have it directed at you. I have a 500 sq foot apartment, I shut the blinds, I closed the windows, etc. and it shouldn’t be too hard to cool down… but, it doesn’t. Not like a real AC ... show more

Does not cool… my understanding was that it was an AC unit as it was described. It is only an evaporative cooler. BUT does not cool! It’s putting humidity into the air and the air outputstayed very warm and I had to run a humidifier as was putting so much humidity into the air. It has pads and a water tank. The water tank is supposed to wet the pads and cool the air output. The little frozen ice cube that they give you, you put inside the water tank but makes the water overflow and leak out the bottom and it never cools the pads. The air coming out is never ice cold. I was running this for a bedroom while waiting for our air conditioning in our house to be repaired. It never cooled down after running it for five hours. ... show more

I purchased this AC fan right on time CA was hit by heat wave. So I believe my feedback will be accurate. AC fan is a fan; can’t replace an air condition for sure. The “Cool” mode allows you to add ice water in its tank and 4 ice packs are provided along with the fan. But you only can use 2 ice packs once at a time, and these 2 ice packs will completely melt within 4-5 hrs depends on room temperature. My living room is about 900 sqft, the cool down function is very limited, very. But I definitely feel comfortable in my room (around 400 sqft) if I place the fan just right next to the bed. In the instruction guide book, it mentions the water pump must be entirely immersed in the water; it seems like the Cool mode won’t shut down automatically when water is not much enough. It looks weird because the water pump creates lots of bubbles. A full tank with ice water + ice packs + ice cubes can support 8 hrs cooling. What’s about you running the fan for over 8 hrs? And It’s not really quiet in the late night maybe because the wind is strong, it wakes me up twice in a night because of its unusual sounds. I am not sure if you can hear the “chi chi chi” from my video. ... show more
