I recently started crocheting and quickly realized that winding yarn by hand is very time consuming. This winder is electric and winds yarn while you do other things. It winds the yarn into very nice cakes and is very easy to thread. When it comes upon a snag it stops so that you can untangle it. It has several speeds and can go very fast. Love this!

I like the color of the metal base and it works well enough but the motor is not very strong. It says right on the manual that it would not work with a wooden swift. I wish that I had known that before ordering it.

This electric winder makes winding yarn balls a breeze. Simple to set up, simple to load your yarn, and simple to wind your yarn balls. I did notice that it seems to have a timer on it, so keep that in mind.

Newer to the crocheting hobby... have seen many of these and can see how helpful they would be! Ordered to try it out! Used with a smoother, smaller thickness yarn I've been learning with and it worked perfectly! Will update with use over time/different textures and thickness of yarns but for now with "usual" yarn? Works great!

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful rose gold color! It’s super easy to put together too. It comes with an instruction booklet and a QR code you can scan to watch an assembly video. It securely clamps onto the table and feels pretty sturdy so far. You’ve got two speed options: fast and slow. I suggest starting on slow when you’re getting your yarn cake started. I was really surprised to find out that it works well with chunky yarn too. Overall, it's a great way to make yarn storage easy!
