The quality of this vice was better than expected. It was shipped in a well protected box so no shipping damage occurred. The vice squares up nice when closed and operates smoothly. For my needs this was a good purchase.

This a a very good vise for the price. Probably the only negative I would give it is that it only rotates side to side, and not angularly. Not a biggie for my purposes. One thing to note is that if you loosen the locking fasteners too much the screw can fall in, necessitating retrieval with needle nosed pliers and reattachment to the locking fastener. I use this in my workshop. I have a small engine shop mainly working on racing go kart last and this vise is all I need. The jaws are well aligned and hold work very well. The screw is smooth and very easy to tighten. Some cheap vises righted up then get a little hard to crank down because of friction. This one is smooth for as tight as you can twist it. ... show more
