First off I did not know it would even fit on my jeep with my fifth wheel, it fits PERFECTLY. I have 35” tires on 20” rims. I cannot fold up the basket but I was not buying for that feature anyways! The instructions weren't very helpful, but the online videos really helped us put the pieces together. It seems very sturdy and worked well for us driving from CO to AZ. Easy to raise and lower, fold and unfold sides! The bag is super durable and has protected contents in severe weather on long, several hour, highway drives. Unfortunately the tongue doesn’t seem to hold the weight it states it does. It’s already sagging and I’ve only used it a handful of times. It has also rusted all over the place, and somehow when it’s stored upright it holds rainwater inside it. When you food it down rusty water pours out of the frame - my bumper has rusty water streaks, and your shoes/pants will too so be careful! Despite these issues, I will buy a second for my other vehicle. I’m 5’2” petite female and I find it easy to use, though it is VERY awkward to move around when it isn’t attached to your vehicle! This is a very sturdy product. We used it on a 12 hour road trip with our Yukon XL. It is a very good size for this type of vehicle. It is higher than most hitches, which makes loading much easier, avoiding bending over as much. It may be a bit cumbersome with a smaller SUV, but worked perfectly for a large SUV. Update: seller refunded full purchase price. The carrier is not recommended for 5th wheels. Great customer service! Unit failed first time used with a weight of 90 lbs. The spindle bent and fortunately I caught it before completely losing it. This was used in the back of an RV. The carrier itself is a good concept with lots of room and the high sides are good but the 2” receiver metal is too thin. The rating of 500 lbs is never gonna work. ... show more
