  • Great product
Great fit for my kayak. It's a precetion outlaw 11.5 and it's made for a trolling motor. So I purchased this and great fit and sturdy. I did have to cut a small block of wood to make up for the space so the trolling motor would tighten down.

  • Unfinished product
It does work. But it's not a finished product. You'll have to make a spacer because the metal is too thin and you'll want a back plate, which it doesn't come with. The screws it comes with are too short as well so it's just a pain. That being said, I am happy with the end product. It's probably worth more like $50. ... show more

  • Solid mount

  • Cannot mount to PowerPole or motor without modification.
Bought this to use my transom mount trolling motor on my kayak which has a Power Pole mounting location on the back. While the hole pattern is correct, the bracket is too wide to fit into the recess and required the fabrication of a spacer to lift it an inch off the mounting location. Similarly, the motor mounting surface is to thin for a trolling motor to clamp to and also required fabricating another spacer that is several times thicker. For the price, I expected it to at least fit the type of mounting location advertised, and be able to actually mount a trolling motor to it. Hiring a local metal worker would be cheaper. ... show more

  • You need blocking for this to work
The clamp on most trolling motors do not close enough to tighten on the mount. You have to fashion a block of 5/4 as a shim
