We have been using solar lighting with our yard pretty much since they first started appearing. Our most recent set finally faded into eternal sleep by the end of this last season. So, we began looking for the next incarnation of our yard lighting. We stumbled across this set and liked what we read. They are not the most budget friendly set of Solar lights out there, but we were looking for something that was a little more durable. So, we ordered a set. These come in a quality box, which for us was an excellent start. First impressions always count. The plastic that has been used seems to be of a much higher grade than a lot of the sets that we have recently seen and reviewed - these have a more robust feel and look about them. The solar cell units by themselves feel heavier, like the components used, actually have some quality about them. We like that they provide enough tubes to actually be able to adjust the heights of your lights, dependent upon the height of your landscaping. The lights themselves are very bright, and spread a lovely wide pattern across the landscape. The ridges on the plastic lenses must be responsible for this great effect. The glass lenses, again, look and feel more durable too. (Most lenses, are much like car headlights. They fade and "yellow" and after a while, they begin to look like nicotine stained teeth. These lenes however, look like they may go the extra mile. We hope! Of course, there is no real way of verifying the durability of any of this until it has stood the test of time. That is, being outside for at least a year, 24/7. We feel hopeful about these solar lights. Perhaps we will return with a 1 year assessment, and a review update later?

These lights are packed well and they were surprisingly easy to assemble. They are a good height of 17 inches plus the 4-inch spike that goes in the ground. In order to put the clear light housing on you must remove the LED cover that protects the bulb. It took me a little bit to figure out it was the round part with the plug-shaped end. As you can see from the photos, the light is bright and gives plenty of light to show the walkway. The light stays strong for about 4 to 5 hours, so this time of year in December it is good from sundown to about 10 pm or a little later.

I got these because of the pole height option. You can choose to adjust them to 3 different heights so if you have tall bushes, these aren't going to be "lost" in them and can still receive the light. I also like how you can put them at different heights and make a pattern which also looks really cool!! The other reason I got these (the main reason) is the title says waterproof and our last several sets of lights that we have on one side of the house fill with water and then stop working. I guess it's the way the sprinklers, wind and rain draft through that area as we don't have a problem with other areas?! The lights have an IP65 rating which means they qualify as water RESISTANT at any angle as long as they aren't submerged in water. From my understanding, IP or Ingress Protection Code classifies the degree of protection for electrical equipment provided by an enclosure. The first digit in a IP rating (a range of 0-6) indicates the protection level against solid objects. This set is rated 6 and that is the highest rating against solid object ingress. Which means it's dust tight! The second digit is a rating from 0-9 and states the enclosure's resistance to liquids. In this products' case the 5, indicates it is protected from light water pressure from any angle. But again, not immersion or against powerful water pressure. I'm not sure why the manufacturer actually states they are waterproof? I don't know if there is additional testing or something extra they've added that I missed when looking at the product information? I've used the lights for a short while and so far, so good but I will update if something changes. Pros: Easy to set up/assemble Dust tight Automatic lighting Easy to "charge" (just be sure you have a sunny enough location) Provide bright, clear light Pretty ground effects (see product picture's night version) Pole height can EASILY be adjusted and has 3 height options to choose from Solar ( recharge in sunlight) no extra batteries required Provide 10-14 hours of light during the night Water resistant to light water pressure at any angle Cons: They don't appear to be truly waterproof

These outclass my other in store bought solar lights as you can see in the picture. Old lights on the far right and these just make then barely visible. I’m using my iPad to take the picture so low light performance of it isn’t the best but you can still see that they’re brighter. For where I am and what I need them for they’re great. Easy recommendation

These solar lights look great in our yard so far. There are 3 height options to fit a variety of needs. They go together easily and are sturdy. The light is what you have come to expect from solar pathway lights, bright and covers a good amount of space. They not only make a yard look better, they are good for safety as well. So far they charge enough throughout the day to provide ample light at night.

I wanted to try these because it gets dark early this time of year and our front walk needed some illumination. I found these easy to put together and install and they throw plenty of light. One feature I really like is that they have an on/off button, so if I ever want to turn them off (for example, if I want to bring them inside for any reason), I can just twist off the top and flip a switch. So far, these are great!

This is a very nice set of outdoor lighting. With a full day of winter sun the lights last almost all night. They will last longer during the summer and be more powerful. One of the lights doesn’t seem to work at all which is disappointing. I’m going to give it another week before removing it and spacing out the lamps to cover its absence. Overall I’m pleased with the set.
