Editing to add: After my review the seller reached out to me and offered a refund or replacement. I opted for the refund but after reading others updated reviews I’m debating buying a replacement from them as the reviews following replacement sound like they have worked out the kinks. Like i initially said- when it worked it did work great. Fantastic customer service. Thank you to the seller. Original: I wanted to leave a good review for this because when it worked, it worked great. Getting the hoses to stay on was a chore I had to repeat several times but it performed perfectly when it was connected. Until yesterday, when there was no action at all. On inspection the hoses attached to the pump were black and melted- looks like it fried itself out. Since I didn’t hook it up right away my return window is closed and I cannot find a way to contact the seller. Four weeks exactly before it died. :(

The media could not be loaded. My husband used to keep koi inside a baptismal tub. It came with the house, but it was time to remodel, so he opted to build a pond outside instead and relocate his fish. We needed to purchase supplies to excavate and build the pond, and one of the items he required was an aerator. In order to maintain the health of your fish and other aquatic species, pond aerators can aerate your pond and help to create an oxygen-rich environment. This air pump kit includes everything you need to start the pond, including the air pump, 20 feet of airline tubing, connectors, check valves, and air stones. It can oxygenate up to 1,500 gallons of water, which is perfect for our koi pond and helps to maintain the water's health, cleanliness, and clarity. It was not too difficult to set up or operate. The process is finished in around fifteen minutes. The cord is on the shorter side but was suitable for our plug, could be a little bit longer. Everything we needed was included in the kit, and the water now has bubblers, which is pretty cool and pleases both the fish and the husband.

Updated Review: Like many others, after posting my review of the defective item, the seller reached out and offered to refund the money. I opted to have another pump sent instead. When the new pump arrived, I took apart the new pump and the defective pump to see if I could figure out why the original one failed. The new pump is very different inside and looks like they did some revamp after the ongoing failures of the original pump. Looks like there is some bad inventory out there they are trying to work through. I'm happy to say the new pump is working and we haven't had any issues. Original Review: I had some very high hopes for this. We have a very small outdoor pond and this aerator seemed like a good compromise to a pump since we have a lot of leaves that fall in from time to time. It worked great for the first couple of weeks and then stopped working. It looks like the pump burned up because the hoses at the pump end are blackened.

Pump seems to provide average air pressure, but one of the 2 air stones has failed already. The air tubing attachment came apart from the airstone. It was a bit difficult pushing the air tubing on to the pump as the tubing is actually too soft to easily attach. As an aside once I started using the pump the initial 12 inches became discolored brown. The company did email me asking I’d I was satisfied with the product. Told them about the discoloration. They did follow up asking for pictures but I have yet to get around to it. Hard to get back to the pump location. So the company does seem to stand by their product.

It actually broke 31 days after I put it to use, but the seller totally supported me and refunded me for the purchase, even though the return window had closed. That’s the sign of a really good seller: they cannot guarantee that merchandise will function, but they support you anyway.

I bought this to provide aeration to two, small outdoor ponds. Because the air hoses that come with the unit are super long, I was able to install the air pump under cover (it is not weatherproof so needs to be protected if used outside) and run one line a short distance to one pond and the other line 8 feet to the other pond. Fish in both ponds seem to enjoy the tiny bubbles. It not only aerates the pond but creates surface disturbance which means predators have a harder time seeing the fish under all of the bubbles. My tip for installing the air hose - if you have one of those rubber jar-opening circles, use that to get a good grip on the air hose as you shove it over the nozzle. I tried using pliers but they tore up the hose and I tried heating the hose but that did not work for me. I was very discouraged, but you don't have to put the hose all the way over the nozzle. As long as it stays on, that's good enough.

Like that device holds 4 air stones. Dislikes that it’s too big, noisy, and only one knob that controls all stones. If tubing is not on all 4 outlets it will not work. Will not recommend or buy again
