As you get older, everything is a struggle. Late night trips to the bathroom is a struggle. Thank goodness for this light, it is a bit less of a struggle. Now I just walk in and out without fumbling for the light switch. The battery lasts quite awhile. In fact, it’s been about a month and it is still on its original charge. Definitely a keeper. For closed spaces like the closet where I had my printer placed, there was a bit problem due to no lit LCD screen of this old fashioned printer. This light proved to be great for me as the lighting issue is well resolved. Charging time is ok, and the runtime so far is so good. The motion sensor is quick enough to respond as soon as I open the closet door... Sturdy material, lumens enough to light up the whole closet well...... This is an excellent motion sensor light! I use this to light my hallway and my staircase. The area that it covers is very large and it easily lights it all. I had one before, but it was too small and dim to do much of anything. This one also comes on from far away. My old one didn't turn on until I was a few feet away from it, so I had to have a light on to see my way too it. This one allows me to go to and up the stair case without turning on any light. That is a great convenience. My dogs also like it because they can go up and down the stairs alone when no one is around to turn on a light for them. They also have limited vision, so the extra light helps to illuminate the stairs so that they can see each one. Having this light is perfect for when I am carrying things like my dog and I cannot easily reach the light switch. It stays on long enough for me to navigate the hallway and my long staircase with no problems. I also like the convenience of being able to mount it or sit it wherever I need. My old light was battery activated. I hate the inconvenience of having to buy batteries for it. This one is easily chargeable. I like the way that it goes from red to green to indicate when it is fully charged. My husband always lets things to charge for too long, but this tells him when it is ready for use. I can't think of anything negative about this. I would recommend it to anyone! ... show more

I bought this light to replace a battery powered light of similar size that I use in my pantry. The old light worked very well but replacing batteries isn't cheap and probably not too great on the environment. When I saw that there was a rechargeable option in this unit, I jumped at the opportunity. Here are my thoughts. PROS: You can see what you get in the box and the measuring tape next to the light, showing actual size is about 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches. It comes with the mounting bracket, hardware, an instruction booklet and a USB power cable that you can use to charge the unit. The switches allow you for night/dark only, or motion activated anytime day or night. The unit was slightly charged when it arrived and full charge took about 6 hours to achieve. You can see in the pictures, when you plug in to charge and it's not fully charged, you'll get a red light. When fully charged, you get a green light. Installation is as easy as installing two screws to hold the circular mounting bracket up, then the light seats on that bracket and a half-turn later, it's locked in place. Super easy. The light emitted at full charge is plenty bright for my 3 ft by 8 foot pantry area, with a warm glow as opposed to many lights that emit a bright, bluish florescent glow. You could easily read a newspaper in that light, plenty bright. CONS: None so far. If the light stops working or doesn't hold a charge long enough, I'll be back to report. ... show more

This is a nice, bright light suitable for a small room, closet, pantry, laundry room, stair way tool shed, etc. where you can just walk in and the light comes on automatically sensing motion and switches off twenty seconds later after no movement. Ideal in situations when you would carry something in both hands and would walk into a dark room. No need to fumble to turn on a wall switch! The light is square in shape (about 6.5”x6.5” and 2.25” thick) with rounded corners and a wrap around, white, plastic diffusing shade. It is lightweight (about 13 ounces) and very easy to install on ceiling, drywall or any wood/plastic surface with the provided anchors and screws. You will secure a round base with screws and place the light on the base and turn it to be secured, similar to installing a smoke detector/fire alarm. In addition, I wish the light had a magnetic base, so you may stick it to metal (steel) surfaces. The light has two modes. In one mode (Day mode) the light turns on whenever motion is sensed. In the other mode (Night mode) the light comes on only in darkness and if motion is sensed. It can sense motion up to 16 feet. The light is very bright (500 lumens) and sheds cool white/day light at 5000°K color temperature. It is good enough to brighten up a small area of about 300 sq ft. The bright light is uniformly diffused so it not harsh on your eyes. I like this light as it is rechargeable. A short USB-C cable comes with the light and you use a suitable wall adapter or computer’s USB port to charge. A full charge takes about twelve hours and lasts for months in night mode. You just recharge when you notice the light had dimmed in brightness. You will find this motion activated utility light to be of great help at some places in your home. ... show more
