Ordered this to add to the wheelchair my mother-in-law uses when she visits us. It didn't have any footrests on it, so this was an inexpensive way to make it more comfortable for her. Though, after using it for a while, she actually says she prefers it over the flip-down metal foot rests on her chair. Often it seems the metal ones are always in the wrong position; down when she's doesn't want them, which causes her to scrape the side of her legs; or up when she's trying to use them, so she has to fiddle with them with her feet to try to get them to flip down. She gets frustrated with them often. But, this sling is very easy for her to just push back with her feet when she wants to stand up. And they're cloth, albeit a thick sturdy material, so it doesn't scrape her uncomfortably when it's resting up against her. Whenever she wants to use it, she just lifts her feet and it swings underneath for her to put her feet on them. All-in-all, she finds it easier to use and less frustrating. I really was just expecting these to be a less expensive, but good enough for visits, option for her. But, we've actually put it on her primary chair at this point, since she prefers it. Easy to use, less expensive than the metal ones, works better for her. No complaints!

If you don't need an adjustable foot rest (i.e. don't need leg/foot lifted up), then I think these are better than the metal/plastic foot rest that swing in/out. The metal foot rest tend to fall off when I store the chair in the car. Have to put them back on all the time. The metal foot rest seem to be in the way and can hurt if it hits your leg/foot. My Mom has said ouch many times in the two months we have used a transport chair. This fabric foot rest can be pushed back to allow for you to sit into chair or stand back up. Then push it under the feet. It won't hurt you if it bumps your leg. it performs its function of holding your feet without the pain of metal. It is easy to attach to your wheelchair, transport chair, or rollator.

A great alternative to the heavy, large attached footrest for when the chair is in motion so you don't have to hold your feet up. However, gets in the way when trying to stand up from the chair. Slightly difficult to figure out how to put on and remove, but once you do it is easier.

This a perfect foot rest for the rollator when providing care to someone with limited mobility. The loops were tricky to figure out at first. The straps are adjustable and the hammock itself is sturdy. I like that your feet aren't forced together once in the hammock. The sides are soft as well. This is a great attachment to have with many different uses as well (back of seat for traveling).

This is my second footrest sling that can attach to the frame of a rollator or wheelchair. This sling has a number of parts and has just loops on the end that need to be fed through each other to attach this footrest/sling to the frame of a rollator or wheelchair. I do not like this style. The bottom of the sling itself -- with the solid and removable footrest -- is good, but the straps made this difficult to attach and maneuver. I'd like to rate this 3.5 stars, as slightly above average, and rounded up to 4 stars. Hope this helps! :-)

Sturdy foot plate helps to keep my feet separated when in this sling. Installation was easy once I figured out where I attach the ends to the frame. This is machine washable that I found when I was out on a rainy day and got the sling a little dirty. Easy to take off or on as I like. Good price.

got this, like many others I suspect, to allow for a foot rest that does not require carrying about those heavy, bulky metal foot pieces for the wheelchair. They fit with some adjustment to the chair, and hare a good height when set correctly. They do work if you are looking to simply rest your feet, but they tend to get in the way of most movement and we worried about them because they seem to become trip hazards when moving from the chair. So I am sure that someone would find these useful, but we took them off the chair and don't use after the first try.

I am reviewing: Wheelchair Footrest Hammock, Anti Squeeze Leg Rest for Wheelchair, Foot Sling for Foot Rest Replacement Adjustable Height, Leg Support Hammock w/Soft Base, Wheel Chair Essential Accessories I added one star for the low price of this footrest. It is not any sort of DME, but it is an inexpensive and portable item that serves it's purpose for a while. It is rigid enough to hold a pair of feet, but I wouldn't say it's going to last forever. With all of that said, for the price, it seems to be made well enough. The rigid bottom is better than cardboard, and the fabric and mesh are of decent quality. The plastic hardware are sure to be durable. The stitching is even and secure.
