This bag is fulfilling its purpose very nicely for my elderly relative; however, let it be known that when you hang it outside the handle, it interferes with the wheel. (It's the shortest I could find, but it's still too long.) The solution is to hang it on the inside instead, near where you sit.

    • Every wheelchair user needs one
I recently broke my leg and ankle and will be in a wheel chair for at least 12 weeks. Right away I realized I needed something to hold my stuff. My husband kept reminding me that this is temporary so why do I need this but minutes after I got it he handed me something and asked me to put it in my pouch. The zipper pocket can hold 8 1/2 x 11” paper folded in half and is a great place to store the handicap placard for your car. The outside pouch pockets easily hold a phone, keys, things your partner hands you, pill organizer, etc. I tried to put a bottle of Pure Leaf iced tea in but it didn’t fit. Maybe a water bottle will but I haven’t tried it yet. I work at a company that has facilities for the intellectually disabled so am around individuals who are permanently in wheelchairs. Almost all of them use a backpack on the back of the chair, they do carry more than I do, but I wanted something I could easily reach myself and this pouch did the trick. I have to hang mine on the inside of the chair because it would interfere with the wheel if I hung it outside but if your wheelchair has smaller front wheels you could totally do that. ... show more

If you have difficulty with your hands (I have had multiple strokes) you probably will need some help to get the wonky velcro straps installed where you want them. I was looking for something that would allow me to carry a cell phone around. This was really not ideal for the task, but if your dexterity is good, you could probably make it work. ... show more

    • Nice bag for the money
The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that if using this on a power wheel chair, the straps rub on your arms and when passing thru doorways it has a tendency to slide off your arm rest. Maybe some type of overlay or cover might help. Other than that I love my bag

I purchased this armrest pouch organizer bag for my Mom, who occasionally has to use a wheelchair to get around. I have to share..... when the package came, my grand daughter immediately opened it & decided it would work perfectly for her bike, (like a basket that we used to have back in the day, on the handle bars.) Anyhow, I had to order another for my grand daughter (for her bicycle,) since this was a necessity for my Mom! ;) My Mom absolutely loves it, not only the vibrant colors, but, all the stuff she can fit in it! She does prefer it sitting on the inside of the chair, so that her phone, medications, money, insurance card, etc. are all accessible. She hated having someone carry her purse when she had to go out..... so this is a perfect solution. She also occasionally puts a bottle of water in the pouch, it fits perfect & helps her since there is no other place on the chair for a water bottle. I did take pictures to share some of the items she uses it for..... as you can see it sits snug against the side of the chair, and the zipper is oversized which helps with her Arthritis . My Mom's friends have all commented on what a great bag this is when you have a wheelchair. ... show more

I mounted this to the bar on the back of my custom wheelchair, not the arm rest (dont have them). The zipper compartment is roomy for my things. My glass case or phone fits perfect in the smaller outside pocket. In the bigger outter pocket, which has a soft lining on one side, is great for my sunglasses. This item is sturdy and well made. Plus it stays right where it is suppose to and doesnt slide around. This would also be great for walkers. ... show more
