I bought this to add softness to my bed without spending a crazy amount of money on a foam topper. It does make my bed a lot softer but I have a gel memory foam mattress that is cooling and this topper voids that cooling out. It’s not breathable at all and makes me really hot while sleeping which I don’t like at all. As for being waterproof, it is so waterproof that when washing it there was a large bubble of water that wouldn’t drip out of it. I ended up poking a hole in it to drain the water. So if you’re looking for truly waterproof bedding get it, if you’re looking to add a pillow top type comfort and being hot at night doesn’t bother you then this would be a good purchase. As for me, I will not be using it this spring/summer. Maybe it’ll be good for winter. ... show more
