Mattifies great! I use it after sunscreen to reduce the oiliness from sunscreen and it makes my face matte without any downsides Would not recommend using just this though. It's very drying, so make sure to use moisturizer beforehand

I really like this product, it controls my oily skin, and is a great base for my foundation and eyeshadow. However, because the opening of the tube is so large, the product comes gushing out, no matter how gently you squeeze the tube, causing a lot of waste. That's the reason for the three stars. If the tip of the tube were tiny, with better control, I would have given a five star rating. ... show more

    • Not Mattifying for Me, But So Silky!
While this did not create the matte effect I was hoping for (I felt like my skin somehow was more oily by the end of the day?), it is very moisturizing! I was astounded with how silky smooth my skin felt after applying a thin layer of this primer. I did feel like it helped to hide my pores a little bit, and as stated it did moisturize quite nicely. Perhaps I had too high hopes for a singular use of a primer, but it did not achieve the mattifying effect I had hoped for. I am no makeup expert, so it may also be in part user error. The great thing about this brand is that it is inexpensive enough that I feel comfortable using the product in a trial and error with makeup. It also did not set off any allergies, and I have quite sensitive skin. All in all, it did not fulfill the purpose that I had hoped for but it is still worth trying! For the price, I would even just use it as a moisturizer since it did a really nice job of making my skin feel silky smooth! ... show more
