I have LONG (thinnish) hair. I'm 66, I keep trying to find good brushes. FINALLY I found the Wet Brush Brush Pro Detangler on Amazon just by chance, and bought 2. I will not buy another kind, EVER. These brushes do NOT rip out my fine hair, do not catch on my tangles, they mean it when they say detangle, even if I don't use conditioner, it STILL easily detangles my hair. They are easy to clean with a brush cleaner (a little brush), and to wash in the sink with any kind of shampoo or liquid or foam hand soap. I am SO GLAD I found these! I will get more for myself, and be sending these to my grandchildren for their tangly hair! I am so happy to not have my hair being ripped out. I love my hair and these brushes make it a whole lot easier to take care of it being so long. I recommend them to everyone- male & female, young and old, with short or long hair. The kiddos don't complain nearly as much when using this brush. It's mostly those hairs at the back of their neck that get seriously tangled that bother them regardless of the brush we use. We even use de-tangler spray to help. Still this brush is the preferred by the kids.

I don't know how I never heard of a Wet Brush. The thing I hate most about washing my hair is detangling it. I already used a detangling comb, but I still lost more hair than I cared to. Now I'm getting older and I have a thyroid problem. Last year my hair was falling out by the roots when I'd wash it. I finally started taking Bovine Thyroid Powder and it completely stopped the hair loss. However, my hair is nothing like it used to be, so I am doing whatever I can to prevent hair loss... and even encourage growth. When I used this brush, the tangles were out in less than 5 minutes. I could not believe it. Also, there was very little hair in the brush. I love that! I've told a dear friend to spread the word, especially to family members with little girls. I have really thick hair, and have only used a wide tooth comb when my hair is wet. But I can use this brush to detangle, even when I'm in the shower! I still start at the bottom of my shoulder length hair, and work up, but I think it takes less time with this brush than with a comb. It looks like every other paddle brush, but it doesn't work the same. It's magic! I bought this one for myself after taking my original wet brush to the barn to try on my horses. I used to dread combing my daughter's hair before I purchased this brush at the advice of my hairdresser. Now I put a little detangler cream in her hair when it is wet, then brush thru it easily without any fuss from her. I don't know what is different about this brush, but it does not bother my daughter as much as the wide tooth comb or other brush that I used to use.
