The media could not be loaded. I love that the popcorn from this popcorn popper tastes more like movie popcorn. The kernels seem to be more plump, much bigger and the popcorn butters seem to absorb more in the popcorn in this style. I found an older Pyrex square container that fits perfect in the bottom to catch the popcorn so it makes clean up less and easier to scoop popcorn out into a smaller bowl. It does take a little longer to clean it up as it is a bigger machine. The popcorn smells so good in the kitchen while it pops. I find myself popping more popcorn and leaving a bowl out on my counter as a healthy option of a snack. This is a much better improvement over the round bowl as far as taste and how fast it pops. The instruction booklet provided some great ideas of making different kinds of popcorn. My con in this is that the instruction booklet needs to do better with instructions on how to assemble the inside as I struggle figuring out how to attach the kernel bowl. Okay so this arrived and we waited all day to finally use it as a family and let me tell you, the machine worked flawlessly, no smoke, no weird plastic smell or taste. It was smooth and delicious! We popped great northern popcorn in it and then paired that with flavorcol popcorn salt and snippys popcorn oil on top and lord have mercy! It was like my childhood all over again, just delicious. The machine popped pretty quickly and in seconds had my white home smelling like a mall theater. I'm not even bothered that it doesn't keep the popcorn warm after popping as it's really good once cooled to room temperature, my only complaint is the door that extends open to get to popcorn, it's flimsy and pops in and out way to easily causing a mess if it pops out. I wish it latched in better, though I understand why it's way to easy to pop in and out. It's annoying with small kiddos who love to snack on popcorn. Little hands pull it off. It's also a bit of a pain to clean, though that's probably going to be most if not all popcorn machines soo, I'm not mad about it. Otherwise 10 out of 10 recommend this! We love it. Use it all the time. The popcorn tastes great, far superior to that microwave product. Makes enough in one sitting for everyone. It’s fairly easy to clean. I soak the pieces in soapy water and wipe down the non submersible parts. Make sure you use high quality oil and popcorn. You will not be disappointed. I recommend. UPDATE: The catch pan in the bottom for stray kernels is flimsy and I can see where it won’t last too long. It could almost be mistaken as something that’s disposable. Love this! Small enough for what we need. I use 2 scoops of popcorn kernels and that gives us enough popcorn for 2 people. Easy set up. Cleans up easily and makes great popcorn! My tip is use a butter flavored oil/topping if you want buttery popcorn. I didn't notice a smell when I made my first batch, where some reviews said ther was. ... show more

09/06/23 Sometimes you get a bum unit. I did. Some advice. First of all. Take everything out of the box, and before you unwrap all the 10 or so parts, take the main unit out, unwrap it and the 5 or so parts inside, and test if the power works. I did not do this. After spending about 30 minutes, with a power drill, I went to turn it on, and, well, it was dead. The light bulb worked, but the popcorn bucket's heating and motor were dead. I immediately requested a replacement through Amazon fulfillment policy. We'll see how this goes. The second advice (after verifying power works) is to NOT put the wheels on until the end. That actual instructions tell you to put them on in step 2 of 8. But if you do this, in the last step, you have secure the newly assembled base to the assembled legs frame, where the wheels block the ability to screw in the base above where the wheels are situated. It's not a problem to simply install the wheels at the end instead. This is helpful info because if you remove the screws after tighten them into the soft plastic, you could easy strip the srew heads(I striped them installing using a regular screw driver), and/or plastic holes. The policy for returns/replacement requires you to put everything back together in the original packaging. So, if you didn't want a replacement, like I did, and you put it together 100%, it would take you another 30min to take apart the popcorn cart, and then some more frustrating time fitting all the pieces back in the original box. Learn from my mistake, test the power first before putting it together. For my experience, shipping took two days, and got it today. Requested replacement today. Will update here when I received the replacement popcorn cart. Update 09/08/23 Received the replacement today. Very fast process. The new unit works perfectly fine. Very happy, but still slightly annoyed. If yours doesn't work, they'll replace it fast. On my way to UPS drop off to send back to did unit.
