This popcorn popper work’s very well the only complaint i have is flavoring with a healthy oil that actually tastes good. You can use bacon grease if you are a bacon eater, I know from past eating that was very yummy, unfortunately I don’t eat bacon anymore. this was bought for a wedding gift. When received it was enclosed in another big box that was not damaged but the box inside was crushed on two corners & torn on the side of package. So it had to have been put in the shipping box with all the damage on the box before shipping! I gave it to the wedding couple hoping that the corn popper was not damaged but told them if it was I would return it. I don't like to open up a gift box before I give it & check to see if it's Ok. If I hear from them after the honey moon that the popper is damaged then what do I do to make it right?? ... show more

Perfectly pops nears every kernel. Just put the oil and popcorn in the base, turn it on, and in just a few minutes you will have fresh, delicious popcorn. I love that the large lid holds a generous amount. I would definitely buy again.

This popper is easy to use and pops nearly all of the kernels. The only thing I don't like is that a plastic smell is lingering. The first few batches of popcorn didn't taste very good, but it's getting better.

Used it first time at max capacity. popped 3/4 cup of popcorn kernels. added popcorn salt to the oil. the butter completely melted as the corn popped. ( very few kernels did not pop and no burnt popcorn. ) a nice flavorful bowl of popcorn , all made in one device.

I purchased the Stir Crazy popcorn popper to replace on that I have had for over 10 years that died. I got the popper and used it ONCE and it stopped working entirely would not even heat up. I tried to return it on Amazon and they said that I had to contact West Bend. I did and they have taken more than 6 months to replace the popper and are charging me for the shipping of the replacement unit. I am extremely disappointed with West Bend and will probably avoid their products in the future as they charge you to replace their faulty products. ... show more

This popcorn popper was an awesome addition to my kitchen as it popped popcorn effortlessly and the family loved to watch it go. After about a year of light use, I noticed popcorn kernels getting dark but not popping. At first I thought maybe it was stale kernels, so I tried them the old-school way on the stovetop in a skillet. They popped perfectly, so I knew there was something wrong with the heating element.
