I loved these pants when I saw the picture because they reminded me of my favorite cargo scrub pants. Those were the most comfortable pants, so I had high hopes. I was a little worried when I saw pants in S, M, L, etc., but I hoped that meant there was some leeway in sizing. I wasn't disappointed! I'm 5' 3" and 142 lbs and I bought the MEDIUM. I have long legs for a short woman. I didn't measure the inseam in these, but I'm going to guess 32" or 33". I left my shoes off in the photo, so you could see where the length hit me. I normally wear 32" or 34" inseam depending on the kind of shoes I'm wearing, so these are exactly as long as I was hoping. These snow pants are high waisted, which means no snow falling down the back of your pants. The fit of these is flattering, but they are roomy enough that I could wear another pair of pants underneath. In the photos, I'm just wearing the pants and you can see where I have some room, without there being too much room. I'm looking forward to wearing my favorite Cuddle Duds leggings under these when we get super cold. Our temps are often in the teens during winter with some negative temps sprinkled in. The back waist is elastic and it also has belt loops. The pants have 2 zippered side pockets (one on each side), one zippered back pocket, and one zippered leg pocket. The back and leg pocket are both on the right side. All pockets can easily be zipped and unzipped with one hand. The zipper pulls have an easy-grip fob, so there's no fumbling to get into pockets, even with gloves. Additionally, all pockets are big enough to hold my iPhone XR without any magic tricks, so these pockets are generous. When I read these pants were water resistant, I worried they might make a swishing sound when I walk — like some track pants do — but they don't. They are totally quiet when I walk. The pants have a smooth satiny feel. They are soft, inside and out. The inside of the pants are not fluffy and bulky — think of the lining as being sueded and you'll have the best idea of what the warm lining is like. The fabric is thick without being bulky. I live in a really cold climate and I've been wearing these whenever I leave the house. I've comfortably worn them down to 10 degrees, so far. Normally my legs are my weakest area in my cold weather gear, but these pants have changed that since they are very warm and I can wear leggings (or even regular pants) under them. These snow pants are super comfortable — even for wear around the house. They zip up and snap. I love the snap and it has a little velcro tab to help keep things smooth and together. They're well made and look really nice. You can't tell they are snow pants. The just look like cargo scrubs or tactical pants. They have these cool seams in the knees (like my favorite cargo scrub pants did) that make it so you can bend down without the pants binding in the knees. I don't have a single complaint about these pants! They've upped my winter game. I'd love it if they had colors like dark plum purple and wine. I'd definitely purchase at least one more pair if they had colors like that, but I may even be back for another pair of the black ones, so I can wear a pair while the other is in the wash. I know some people are very concerned about fabrics with odors, but I didn't notice any odor at all when I took these out of the package. I've washed them and they came out just like they went in, but softer. All in all, these are great pants and I'm happy I found them! ... show more

These are amazing. I bought them because I needed snow pants that would deliver overnight and these just happened to be available and had good reviews. They exceeded my expectations. They kept me completely dry during a family snow trip, even sitting directly in the snow for a while. They are a thicker material and are fleece lined, so I only wore a light pair of running tights underneath and it was perfect. The fit is fine for the purpose, but if I were concerned with looking cute, I might search for something else because they aren't super flattering, but who buys pants like this for anything other than utility. I recommend. For reference, 5'4", 135lbs, got a size medium and they fit fine with room for layers. Waist is stretchy. ... show more

I am a security account manager and work in a cold warehouse. We have a uniform that is issued, but they do not provide warm pants. Before buying these pants I had to wear leggins under my uniform pants just to keep warm, but it was uncomfortable. I am 5'6" and weigh 135 so I ordered a medium. They look professional, are well made and keep me warm without the extra layer of leggins! These pants fit well and are comfortable to wear, the length is long enough to go over my boots and the zip pockets give extra protection from loosing anything you may have in them. I was so impressed by the excellent fit. I am 5'10" with a long torso and struggle to find hiking pants with sufficient rise and width to accommodate a 10" difference between my waist and hip measurements. These pants look great! No funny pulling in the crotch, no constricting waist. The elastic in the waistband is strong enough to fit nicely, but adjust to my waist. A versatile pant with more comfort of movement in the hips than I usually find in store bought hiking pants that seem to assume all hikers have sticks for legs! A great secure closure at the top also. Well made and roomy enough for layering, but very comfortable for being active in subzero temperatures. To be honest, I was hoping I could get by without them on my trip and just return them but...I liked them too much. I'm ready for a lot more chilly adventures. Just received these pants and honestly have not needed to wear them yet. They seemed very well insulated (and comfortable) when I tried them on however I noticed right away that there is Velcro next to the snap. The snap does not stay closed very well so hope when I wear these to work outside the Velcro holds otherwise I will have to pin or replace the snap. I usually don't write reviews, but after wearing them today for a 30° hike in the TN mountains, it's important to know that these do deliver a warm and comfortable fit. I was so happy. -plenty of pocket storage -high waisted with a snap and a Velcro tab to keep them closed. -soft fleece (but not puffy which was a big win for a flattering fit.) -wide enough at the bottom to lay over boots without scrunching up. ------NOTE: I would order up one size.
