It took me FIVE years to write this review. This Well Woven checkered rug was purchased for my grandson’s room when he was 8yrs. It’s a perfect gamer rug. He’s 12years old now. He lives with me full time, and spends a lot of time in his room with his cousins. The first 2021, the second 2023 and the third was taken June 2025. I’ve only ever spot cleaned it, because vacuuming does the job, and it seems to be stain resistant. This is a real rug! It has a woven backing. It’s not thin or cheap and it absolutely CAN’T be washed in a washer machine. I imagine it’s pretty soft, because the kids lay on it for most of the day. In FIVE years, it’s NEVER frayed, torn, pilled, rolled, faded, thinned, shed or really stained. This rug always lays flat and is safe for constant foot traffic. I had to put black tape around the edges a months ago, because my youngest grandson (he’s 3) won’t stop trying to climb up under it. I’ll probably give it to him when he gets his own room. The Well Woven brand is a no brainer because it’s tried, true and tested, by me. ... show more

Awesome little rug for the price! Adds a great pop of color to the room. I've used it for a few months now and it is holding up well. The corners roll up some so I'd recommend something to hold them down.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that there were some issues with my original purchase - the rug, though reported as delivered, was not actually available. That said, the Well-Woven company, specifically the representative named Rachel, has done an amazing job of being consistent in trying to resolve the problem. I have finally received an alternate selection which is very nice. I would order from this company again, despite the problems, because their customer service has been excellent. ... show more

    • Durable and attractive
I used this rug all year in my classroom and the kids loved it! It made the room much more inviting and the kids looked forward to reading on the carpet. I had a 5x7 which was the perfect size. By December, two corners were curling significantly but I rotated it so the curling corners were under some milk crates which made the rug last the rest of the year. I did try carpet tape, but only after the corners curled so I'm not sure if tape would have helped since I didn't use it to begin with. It was vacuumed daily and made it through the year with 28 kiddos! By the end of the year (literally in May) the cording on the edge had started coming loose in a few spots and there were small patches of fabric missing but I think that was due to the kids pulling/picking at it. I bought this rug for my hallway. I like how colorful it is. It did take some time to completely lay flat. It is very thin. Reasonably priced for a runner. I found this rug and designed my entire hallway around it!
