  • Must have upgraded for towing.
I replaced the oem components before their duty cycle in anticipation of multiple runs thru the PA, WV, VA mountains with a loaded-to-gross 24’ cargo trailer behind a 2014 1500. Good decision, as that proved to be a handful for the truck, and I was extremely impressed with the MUCH improved brake performance. I used the Power Stop kit but this time opted for the Weize kit for only ~1/2 that cost. Delivery and packaging were 1st class. Be advised, you will receive all individually boxed items in a single strap-reinforced cardboard box. It’s heavy so have a dolly or helper ready to move. I like each rotor box was labeled for corner location, install went without issue. No squeals or unusual noises on the test drive. After bedding and break-in, the benefits of this rotor/pad upgrade become readily apparent and I have experienced no discernible difference between brands. Only nit, I do wish these kits would include the necessary high temp ceramic brake grease. This is a great product at an unbelievable price. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great on my 2015 Jeep Compass
Size: Jeep Compass/ Patriot 07-17 Front
I bought these brakes for my 2015 Jeep Compass Sport 2WD 2.0L I did a lot of research on brakes and was having trouble finding a set of pads/rotors that had good reviews for the MK model Jeeps (Patriot/Compass 07-16). I came across these and decided to roll the dice in hopes that they would be atleast as good as the OEM brakes. I installed them myself, following a few instructional YouTube videos. This is the first time in my life I’ve done my own brakes. The install went off without a hitch, the only minor setback I had was the original passenger side rotor didn’t want to come off, but I found a trick via YouTube to get it off with a bolt, nut and two wrenches. They fit perfectly on my Compass and I made sure to put lubricant and anti-seize in the proper locations. After installing them, I did the break in procedure recommended by Weize in the instruction manual. I have been very happy so far with these brakes. They function great and I didn’t have any problems with squeaking, grinding, vibration or other noises. At this price, I don’t think you can get better brakes for the money. They’re an incredible value and the stopping power is just as good if not better than the original brakes. One thing to note about the quality is that the drill holes and the slots in the rotors are positioned so they interact with the brake pads. On some other cheap rotors, the holes/slots extend way past the area the pads would come into contact. These are positioned correctly so you get maximum interaction of the holes/slots with the pads. I’ll keep this review updated as time goes on to let you know about their longevity and if any problems crop up over time. So far so good! UPDATE: I took my Compass on a 9 hour one-way trip from Kansas to New Mexico and the brakes performed great! Had to drive through the rain half the way on the trip there, and also did a fair amount of driving through mountains in New Mexico. The brakes performed great and they’re still going strong. My mom drove some of the trip too and said she though the Compass braked well without being too sensitive or too squishy, just the perfect amount of response from the pedal. I’m not noticing any problems with lots of brake dust, but I do make sure to blow them off with the air compressor in our garage every once in a while. Also did a drive from my home to Kansas City and back (4 hours each way), and they did fine on that trip too. It’s been a few months now that I’ve had them on there and everything is going well. Planning to paint my factory calipers black to match the drums on the rear. ... show more

  • Flawless after 10,000 miles
I installed these on my 2018 silverado and they fit perfectly. I have about 10,000 miles on these brakes & rotors now and they're flawless. There is little to no brake dust that I've noticed. The stopping power is better than anything I've had previously. No vibrations or noise at any speeds. I'd highly recommend this kit for anyone. You literally save $100's compared to buying this quality of parts at an auto parts store. ... show more

  • Great Performance
These pads and rotors are high quality. After 5 days on my 2014 Tundra they are settling in and performing very well. Stops are smooth, no variance in vehicle direction at high speed stops and they feel better than a replacement, I believe I made an upgrade. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is I had to use my bench grinder to shave off some of the steel plate from each front pad plate. The plate was slightly to wide and removing some from each side kept the ceramic pad centered on the plate. The rear pads fit perfectly and the clips fit exactly within the space and fully supported the pads steel frame plate. I’m a novice at doing my own vehicle repairs, but found this brake job a very satisfying and relatively easy job to do. My best safety advice, when removing a tire or two tires to do brakes, put them under the vehicle as an additional backup safety measure for lift failures and vehicle weight shifts. My lift didn’t fail and my braces were in place, but having the tires under the vehicle gave my a lot of confidence. I didn’t hesitate at all when tugging, pulling and hitting with a large hammer as needed to remove the old rotors. ... show more
