This doggy doorbell was so helpful for our dogs communicating to us to be let in or out. We had this product for 2 yrs and 8 mos. It started acting funny a few days ago, sounded like static, and then stopped making the ring sound we selected. The base/receiver still communicates with the 2 transmitters because they still light up with blue, however the sound no longer works. :( I would have given the product 5 stars otherwise, unfortunate and now uncertain we will replace with the same product. ... show more

Now once my dog figured this bell out it worked perfectly for what we wanted it to do! Awesome item to have took her a few months to figure it out but once she got the hang of it now she just rings it to go outside!

It didn’t take long to get my girl trained to nudge the button with her nose. I just rubbed some chicken on the button and gave her a treat when she hit the button with her nose and then let her out. Even if she didn’t hit the button, I hit the button, waited for the music to play and then opened the door. It took maybe several days of doing this. Once she figured it out, it was 🎵 ding dong music 🎵 all day long as she hit the button continuously. I think for her it meant let’s go out and play stick. I obediently opened the door each time, sometimes I threw the stick, but always I let her out. Then after a while I had to tell her “no, we were not going out to play” and she has since calmed down. It’s been two weeks and she doesn’t ring it as often but she def knows what it’s for. No more scratching and jumping on the door to go out. Easy set up. Having volume control and sound choices was great. Loads of different sounds but few that I wanted to hear. I opted for the one that sounded like a door bell but different from the front door. Thank goodness I set it up and not my husband as his musical choices, while comical, we’re not what I had in mind. Funny that both of my dogs only bark for the front door bell but not this similar sounding one on the back door. The doorbell attaches to my door frame with the included pre-cut sticky disc. I only attached the indoor bell and didn’t attach the outside bell to enter the house because the back door is to be replaced soon. I wanted her to learn how to use the doggie door bell before I got the new door. I’ll def reattach the indoor bell and begin using the outdoor bell once my new doors are in place. Highly recommended. Prevent doggie accidents, holes in the screen door, and scratches on the wood door and frame. I’m very happy with this purchase. You could probably set up another doorbell (with different sounds and in different areas) for other things like treats, meals, go for walks or whatever you want your dog to communicate with you about. ... show more

I wish there was a way to remove and restock. Our dog will hit to button from outside to be let in but won’t do it from in the house. Maybe I have to move it to a better location. The outside one is on the door, the inside one is next to the door on the wall.

It’s a great product, mostly. Got in November and only took my dog two days to learn to ring it. Put one button by the door inside the house and the other by the same door on the outside. It’s a covered porch. Been great for two months until a week ago when it started ringing on its own, first in the middle of the night, then early morning, now any time of the day. I’ve changed the batteries, I have moved the outside one to the opposite side away from the other, I have unplugged it, reset it, it still phantom rings. I really like it, it’s very convenient when my dog needs out and I am in another part of the house, but the ringing on its own is starting to become annoying. I’ve read a lot of people are having the same problem. Does anyone have a fix? ... show more

We were skeptical but this actually worked for our puppy. He uses it every time he wants to go outside or use the potty. Our older dog though looks at us like we’re crazy. But the pup caught on after only two days.
