User documentation is minimal. I am struggling trying to learn how to operate the camera. Will keep trying.

    • Doesn't record continuously.
I would love this camera due to having a display to replay the clip but it does not record continously when in use. It will only take one clip and stop recording. Just disappointed. Returned and ordered a different brand.

    • Great for bike and electric vehicle riders
I ride electric unicycles and have had close calls in the past regarding cars and pedestrians, even though I almost always have an action camera on me, I wanted a secure and easy to use bodycam just in case the footage was ever needed. The unit has an internal battery and charges with the included USB cable. The battery is supposed to last up to 7hrs of recording which I believe, since it worked fine for a 5hr day of group riding with no problem. The camera can write over the data after saving everything in 10 minute blocks. As an added feature, a short press of the fast forward button lets you set the current video as a protected video and helps prevent accidentally erasing an important video clip. The unit has a standard threaded adapter hole to attach to different mounting systems as well as a plastic belt style clip. The video quality is very good for such an affordable camera. The fact that they include a Kingston memory card is a nice touch as well. The only disappointment was that the night mode just turns on led's and doesn't have IR capabilities, but this is only a small grumble since the price is so affordable. ... show more

    • Your own personal 'cop camera.'
With car cameras, smart phones, and other video capture devices (door bells) becoming more wide-spread in use, the design of this product seems more tailored to wearing as ones intended for use by Law Enforcement Agencies. That said, if you were wearing one and subject to approach by an officer, it might become a point of contention you either wish to make or may want to avoid. Check the laws in your area to make sure you are within your rights to record people without their permission, or the grey areas in states that prohibit filming of certain areas (Agriculture Gag Laws, such as in Iowa). This is NOT a discreet device, though it is sturdy, easy to use and can record for extended periods if you load it with a large enough microchip. The playback quality is pretty good, though sound can become overblown or garbled in noisy and confused situations. So, in the end, I'm not sure of the intended audience for this product. People already subject to harassment would benefit from such a device, but would likely trigger escalation just as easily (even when illegal and a violation of your rights.) Remember, even seasoned prosecutors and detectives will tell you to be polite, but don't 'converse' with officers when you are stopped. Ask if you are free to go. If not, then ask if you are being detained and why. If you are, ask if you are being placed under arrest. If so, the next and only words out of your mouth are: I invoke my right to remain silent and only speak with my lawyer. Said politely, and with respect, of course. ... show more

    • Not intuitive; Needs better mounting options
The cam is a nice, small, sturdy-feeling package. It is not intuitive to use — you’ll definitely need to spend some time examining the instructions and it works best to try out the functions on the cam as you read the instructions. They are kind of complicated and not easy to remember. After you use the cam a time or two, however, you’ll find it is actually pretty easy to use. I tried it out recording a hike. The video image was good, but I wished there were better mounting options. I did not have a good horizontal place on my clothing (for instance, a shirt pocket) on which to fasten the vertical clip. I ended up clipping the cam onto the zippered opening of my jacket, but that positioned the cam at a slight angle, which, of course, resulted in a tilted video. It would have been great to have a rotatable clip so I could have rotated the cam to a vertical position. I like that the cam is rechargeable and came with a micro-SD card. I like that the manufacturer chose to use a removable memory card instead of using non-removable internal memory. This makes it easy to switch out additional memory cards and to view videos on a computer or tablet with a card reader. I like that the cam has an onboard screen to allow viewing videos in the field, but would have preferred having it on the back of the cam to make it more useful as a dash cam. I doubt this cam would ever be seriously considered for use as a body cam by law enforcement agencies, but for the price, I think it’s well-suited for casual and fun use to capture activities like hiking and biking and for use as an inexpensive dash cam. ... show more

This was an interesting inexpensive little body camera. It's small and lightweight and the video quality wasn't terrible. It was not the easiest to figure out how to use though and I may still not even be aware of all of the features. I do like that it came with a SD card and that its a removable card in case I ever want to use a larger one. I tested it a bit but hope to use it more on our next hike as it could be fun to be able to simply click it to my shirt and record the trip. Will update my review if my opinion changes! ... show more

Did not let you connect to the phone, the the video was really clear. If you don’t need to connect to the phone it works great. The whole reason I wanted it was to work with the phone.
